Abstract

This research examines the learning planning management process and the mechanisms, systems and strategies needed so that tahfiz al-Qur'an learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The Tahfiz Al Qur'an and Hadist Al Faiz Islamic boarding school is a tahfiz institution that holds formal programs in the form of MIS, MTs, MAS, and Takhossus Tahfiz Al Faiz with the main aim of producing a cadre of imams, preachers and teachers to be able to restore the glory of Islam through al Qur'an and sunnah. This research is a type of field research using a qualitative phenomenological approach regarding the management of Al-Quran tahfiz learning for students at the Al Faiz Islamic boarding school in Deli Serdang. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation techniques from schools. Data analysis starts from data collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions using a deductive method that starts from general events and then reduces them to specific parts. Based on the data findings, it can be concluded that the learning planning process carried out for the students includes annual programs, semester programs and daily learning plans, as well as the mechanism and system for organizing tahfiz learning for all students, implemented within a maximum of 4 months, trained with tahsin in the form of memorizing Matan Al-Jazari and Tuhfatul Atfal as well as talaqqi reading starting from Surah Al-Fatihah to completing Juz 30, all of which of course must start with good planning, good communication, and must also be supported by strategic learning development that is able to teach the students. so that it is hoped that a superior generation of Muslims will be created (khaira ummah).

Abstract

Technology plays a significant role in our lives today. OpenAI, a company at the forefront of artificial intelligence since 2015, has taken remarkable steps to make artificial intelligence more accessible and beneficial for everyone. One significant achievement in its journey is the development of Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformers (ChatGPT). We used the SWOT analysis framework to outline ChatGPT’s strengths and weaknesses and to discuss its opportunities for and threats to education.  The strengths include using a sophisticated natural language model to generate plausible answers, self-improving capability, and providing personalised and real-time responses. As such, ChatGPT can increase access to information, facilitate personalised and complex learning, and decrease teaching workload, thereby making key processes and tasks more efficient. The weaknesses are a lack of deep understanding, difficulty in evaluating the quality of responses, a risk of bias and discrimination, and a lack of higher-order thinking skills. Threats to education include a lack of understanding of the context, threatening academic integrity, perpetuating discrimination in education, democratising plagiarism, and declining high-order cognitive skills.

Abstract

Islamic education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah faces challenges in utilizing digital technology developments to improve the quality of learning. This study aims to explore the application of digital literacy-based PAI learning strategies at MIS Humayroh Labuhan Batu Utara and identify students' responses to the application of these strategies. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the use of digital media, such as videos, learning applications, and online-based teaching materials, can enhance students' understanding of Islamic religious education. Students feel more engaged and motivated in the learning process; however, challenges such as technical issues, internet connectivity, and device access remain obstacles. The implications of this study highlight the importance of developing digital literacy-based learning strategies that are accessible to all students, as well as attention to adequate infrastructure factors. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective religious education curriculum and methodology in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is implemented in TK IT Baitul Hijrah Kota Binjai using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model as the initial step in this study. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine how well the Independent Curriculum supports early childhood education in terms of sustainability, relevance, and effectiveness. The context element shows how the school's vision and mission are in line with the values of the Independent Curriculum, which are strengthened by leading initiatives such as ProTaBa (Baby Tahfidz Program) and collaboration between institutions and external parties. Although most teachers meet the competency requirements in the input aspect, more training in educational technology and facility improvement are still needed. Positive interactions between teachers and students are evident in the process aspect, but the learning approach is still traditional with little integration of technology. According to the product evaluation, students' social and spiritual growth is quite important, although their Pancasila character has not been strengthened optimally. Strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats in the implementation of the criteria are identified through a SWOT analysis. Intensive teacher training, purchasing digital resources, increasing character values in education, and fostering better parent collaboration are some of the suggested tactics. In conclusion, despite the benefits of the Independent Curriculum, a number of important areas require improvement to maximize the achievement of the country's educational goals.
