Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of domestic waste management in Buleleng Regency based on data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) managed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The background of this study is grounded on the necessity to comprehend the basic characteristics of waste in Buleleng and its challenges and solutions. Employing descriptive analysis and literature study methods, this research successfully maps the composition, quantity, and waste management methods in the regency. Results indicate that the composition of domestic waste is dominated by specific types and, compared to other urban areas in Indonesia, there are distinct characteristics in waste management in Buleleng. A brief conclusion from this study emphasizes the need for a more integrated and sustainable waste management strategy in Buleleng Regency.

Abstract

Nusa Dua, a prominent tourist destination, grapples with the multifaceted challenge of seaweed waste accumulation. Through a qualitative approach anchored in extensive literature review and observational data, this study delves into the environmental implications and the latent opportunities that seaweed waste presents. The research reveals significant potential repercussions ranging from ecological disturbances to potential economic downturns linked to reduced tourist appeal. However, it also uncovers various recycling possibilities, including biofuel production and sustainable packaging, offering viable solutions to the problem. This paper underscores the necessity of collaborative action, innovative policies, and community engagement to transform Nusa Dua's seaweed waste challenge from an environmental concern into an opportunity for sustainable development.

Abstract

Koperasi Produsen Perikanan Hasil Laut Unit Desa “Mina Sumber Mas” Desa ILIR Kecamatan Kandanghaur Kabupaten Indramayu, berperan penting sebagai sarana bagi para nelayan kecil dalam menjual hasil tangkap, khususnya kerang, Saat ini, proses pemindahan hasil tangkap kerang masih dilakukan secara manual. Berdasarkan hasil observasi proses pemindahan hasil tangkap kerang masih dilakukan secara manual yang mengharuskan nelayan mengangkat beban rata-rata beban angkut 17,5 kg dengan jarak 20 meter secara berulang. Aktivitas tersebut berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kelelahan fisik dan berisiko menyebabkan gangguan musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs), maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis beban kerja fisik serta merancang alat bantu dengan menggunakan metode Cardiovascular Load (CVL) dan pendekatan Antropometri. Hasil perhitungan Cardiovascular load (CVL) menunjukkan bahwa dari 21 nelayan yang diamati terdapat 10 nelayan membutuhkan perbaikan kondisi kerja, 9 nelayan bekerja dalam durasi singkat, dan 2 nelayan memerlukan tindakan segera akibat konsumsi energi yang melebihi ? 351 kkal/jam, oleh karena itu, diperlukan perancangan alat bantu guna mengurangi beban kerja fisik. Perancangan alat bantu dilakukan dengan metode antropometri yang menghasilkan spesifikasi sebagai berikut: tinggi alat bantu sebesar 110 cm (D4: Tinggi Siku), lebar alat bantu sebesar 48 cm (D17: Lebar Sisi Bahu), panjang pegangan alat bantu sebesar 25 cm (D28: Panjang Tangan), dan lebar pegangan alat bantu sebesar 13 cm (D29: Lebar Tangan). Diharapkan alat bantu ini dapat mengurangi risiko gangguan muskuloskeletal serta meningkatkan efisiensi kerja nelayan dalam pemindahan hasil tangkap.
