Abstract

Along with the times, globalization has an increasingly obvious impact with opportunities and challenges that every individual must face simultaneously without exception. Education has an important role in shaping the nation's generation, which is ready to face the challenges of the 21st century. Indonesia has made efforts in this regard through the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum which prioritizes the 6 pillars of the Pancasila Student Profile which is considered the basis for shaping the character of students. Collaboration skills are part of the pillar of mutual cooperation in the Pancasila Learner Profile and are very important for students to develop. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' collaboration skills by using the STEM-Engineering Design Process (EDP) on motion and force. This research used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The data collection tool used in this study is a Self-Assessed Contribution Skills (SACS) questionnaire. This research was conducted in one of the schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The subjects in this study were 34 seventh-grade students consisting of 16 boys and 18 girls. The results showed a significant increase in students' collaboration skills with a mean pretest of 63% and a mean post-test of 67%. The N-Gain score on the Information Sharing dimension was 0.24, the Group support dimension was 0.07, and the Group Learning dimension was 0.08. Based on the study's results, STEM-Engineering Design Process (EDP) learning can be an alternative for teachers in improving students' collaboration skills, especially in science lessons. Keywords :STEM, Engineering Design Process, Collaboration Skills.

Abstract

Students' learning motivation is still very low, this can be seen when there are still many students who pay less attention to the teacher's explanation, lack enthusiasm when participating in learning, and prefer to chat with other students and play alone in learning. This study aims to increase students' learning motivation in science learning using Problem-Based Learning. This research is a class action research consisting of 2 cycles. The sample in this research amounted to 33 students from one of the junior high schools in Bandung City consisting of 16 male students and 17 female students.. This research instrument is a questionnaire of student learning motivation consisting of 5 indicators, namely intrinsic motivation, career motivation, self-determination, and efficacy of and value motivation with 5 questions for each indicator and a total of 25 questions. Data analysis in this study is a descriptive analysis by comparing the percentage of students' learning motivation results in cycle 1 with cycle 2. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done, the results of student learning motivation in cycle 1 are 65% and in cycle 2 to 70%. Thus, there was an increase of 5% from cycle 1 to cycle 2. So, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model can increase students' learning motivation in the material of motion and force of science class VII SMP.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Mining activities in the Moro sand of Riau Islands have caused many serious environmental problems, especially damage to marine ecosystems and landscape changes that have an impact on the socio-economic life of coastal communities. This problem is increasingly complex with the government's policy to reopen sea sand export licenses, basically there have also been previous regulations prohibiting the practice. This research aims to analyze the environmental impacts of sand mining and evaluate the countermeasures and regulations implemented by the government. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through document studies, literature, and analysis of related policies. The data obtained is processed through a process of editing, grouping, verification, and descriptive inference to provide an objective picture of the conditions in the field. The results show that sand mining activities in the Riau Islands have an impact on coastal erosion, damage to marine ecosystem habitats, and disruption to the local hydrological cycle. Countermeasures by the government have been carried out through regulations such as Presidential Decree Number 33 of 2002 and Government Regulation Number 26 of 2023. Challenges in regulation implementation and law enforcement remain high, especially related to illegal mining activities and lack of supervisory capacity. Synergy between the government, community, and private sector is needed with the aim of maintaining a balance between economic needs and environmental sustainability.
