Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh kualitas layanan internal terhadap kepuasan karyawan di Politeknik Negeri Kupang. Masalah utama yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah sejauh mana layanan internal mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan di Politeknik Negeri Kupang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kualitas layanan internal terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kampus Politeknik Negeri Kupang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan Politeknik Negeri Kupang, dengan sampel sebanyak 60 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas layanan internal memiliki hubungan dengan kepuasan kerja dan hubungan tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Selain itu, juga disimpulkan bahwa kualitas layanan internal memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan.

Abstract

This article explores governance policies aimed at strengthening democracy in Papua, a region with unique social, cultural, and political characteristics. The study begins by addressing the challenges Papua faces in the democratic development process, particularly in relation to governance structures and the role of local communities. Special Autonomy and decentralization policies have offered opportunities, but significant obstacles remain in achieving inclusive and participatory democracy. The focus is on examining the effectiveness of governance policies implemented in Papua, specifically in relation to democratic consolidation and the engagement of indigenous communities in decision-making processes. The primary goal of this research is to evaluate how governance policies contribute to the promotion of a more robust, participatory democracy in Papua, while identifying areas where policy adjustments are needed. Methodology: Using qualitative methods, the study involves an in-depth analysis of policy documents, interviews with local stakeholders, and a review of relevant literature. A comparative approach is also employed to assess the impact of governance reforms on democracy in Papua relative to other regions in Indonesia. The findings reveal that while governance policies have led to improvements in local democratic practices, gaps remain in terms of inclusivity and accountability. Key issues include limited representation of indigenous populations and challenges in the implementation of decentralization. The article concludes that further refinement of governance policies is necessary to strengthen democracy in Papua. Policy reforms should prioritize greater inclusion of local communities, enhanced transparency, and increased capacity-building for local governance institutions.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to examine the functions and roles of the Vocational Training Institute in Keerom Regency, Papua Province, as well as the challenges and specific constraints it faces. This exploratory research uses a qualitative descriptive method and includes insights from three key informants. Findings reveal that labor institutions play a crucial role in determining workforce quality and professionalism. To support this, adequate facilities and infrastructure are essential to train skilled workers in alignment with labor market demands, reducing employer challenges. Despite a high labor supply, many workers lack the skills needed for available jobs, contributing to regional unemployment. The study also identifies both internal and external barriers requiring focused attention from the Keerom Regency Government. Future research should investigate training program quality using a quantitative approach.

Abstract

Paradiso Beach, located in Oesapa Barat Subdistrict, Kupang, holds significant potential as a leading tourist destination. However, inadequate environmental management—particularly concerning waste management—remains a major challenge. This Community Service Program (PKM), conducted by the Department of Business Administration at the State Polytechnic of Kupang, aims to raise public awareness of the importance of waste management, improve the quality of tourism services, and empower micro-enterprises through the utilization of recycled waste. This initiative contributes to enhancing environmental quality and the economic well-being of communities surrounding Paradiso Beach. The results of this community service activity show that educational and outreach programs involving more than 100 participants successfully enhanced public understanding of environmentally friendly waste management. Approximately 75% of participants demonstrated behavioral changes in waste disposal and segregation. The program also facilitated the establishment of three environmental awareness groups and provided training on recycling-based waste management, which led to the creation of economically valuable products. As a result, the cleanliness of Paradiso Beach improved significantly, with a 40% reduction in waste and an 85% increase in visitor satisfaction. Moreover, three micro-enterprises based on recycled materials were established and began marketing their products to the local market. These activities demonstrate that a participatory approach can effectively raise environmental awareness and promote local economic development through sustainable waste management

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah menjadi tuntutan bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk dapat bertahan dan bersaing di era digital. Namun, keberhasilan transformasi digital tidak hanya bergantung pada adopsi teknologi, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh mindset para pelaku UMKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh mindset transformasi digital terhadap peningkatan bisnis UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 250 pelaku UMKM di wilayah tertentu. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mindset transformasi digital, yang terdiri dari dimensi keterbukaan, inovasi, dan adaptabilitas, memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan bisnis UMKM yang diukur dari indikator pertumbuhan penjualan, peningkatan produktivitas, dan perluasan pasar. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan mindset transformasi digital bagi pelaku UMKM untuk mendorong peningkatan bisnis mereka di era digital.
