Abstract

Penyakit Diabetes Mellitus yaitu meningkatnya kadar gula darah yang melebihi batas normal. Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kadar gula darah diantaranya yaitu status gizi dan kurangnya aktivitas fisik. Tujuannya untuk menganalisa hubungan IMT dan aktivitas fisik dengan kadar gula darah pada pasien penderita DM tipe II di Klinik Diabetes Kota Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan tanggal 5-15 Juni 2023 dengan jumlah sampel 40 orang diperoleh dengan teknik Accidental sampling. Analisa univariat diperoleh 37 responden (92,5%) memiliki kadar gula darah tinggi, 24 responden (60%) IMT gemuk dan 32 responden (80%) memiliki aktivitas fisik ringan. Hasil bivariat dengan uji Chi Square tidak terdapat hubungan antara IMT dengan kadar gula darah (p value = 0,262) dan aktivitas fisik dengan kadar gula darah (p value = 1,000) pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ttidak terdapat hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan kadar gula darah dan aktivitas fisik dengan kadar gula darah. Diharapkan para penderita DM tipe II dapat memperhatikan faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kadar gula darah serta tidak lagi bergantung dengan terapi obat.

Abstract

Effective waste management requires the support of an efficient logistics system, especially in school environments that generate waste on a daily basis. This community service activity aimed to provide education on logistics efficiency in sustainable waste management to students of SMK Perbankkan Riau. The methods used included socialization, interactive discussions, waste management supply chain simulations, and assistance in implementing the 3R system (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The results showed an 85% increase in students’ understanding of green logistics concepts, waste collection management, and waste reduction. In addition, the school has begun implementing waste segregation at the source, efficient transportation scheduling, and the processing of organic waste into compost. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step toward fostering an environmentally conscious culture and logistics efficiency in schools.

Abstract

Based on the Johannesburg declaration that by 2023 half of the world's population must have access to basic sanitation (latrine). This determination emphasizes the importance of programs to increase public awareness of the need to own and use latrines. The aim of this research is to determine the factors related to the use of family latrines in the Pamsimas program in the XIII Koto Kampar work area in 2023. This research uses a quantitative analytical design with a cross sectional approach. The research population is all 2730 heads of families (KK) in XII Koto Kampar. KK with a sample of 97 KK taken using systematic random sampling. The measuring tool in this research is a questionnaire. The data analysis used was Univariate and Bivariate, with the chi-square test. The results of statistical tests can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the level of education and latrine use, p value 0.080 < 0.05, there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes and roles of health workers and latrine use (p value = 0.008, p value = 0.049, p value = 0.009. This research recommends the importance of providing sanitation information or counseling to the community about always using latrines, providing model latrines that meet health requirements to encourage people to always use latrines after the PAMSIMAS program is completed with the help of Health Officers.

Abstract

Environmental-based diseases still dominate health problems in developing countries. Diarrhea is one of the environmental-based diseases that causes death in the world. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between PHBS and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 3-5 years in Penyasawan Village in 2022. This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional design. The population in the study were all mothers with toddlers in Penyasawan Village, totaling 517 people with a sample of 84 people. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is univariate and bivariate analysis. The research results showed that there is a significant relationship between PHBS and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in Penyasawan Village in 2022 with a p value of 0.003. It is hoped that parents who have toddlers will increase their knowledge about preventing diarrhea at home, as well as further improve clean and healthy living behavior. especially taking steps to prevent diarrhea, such as washing hands before eating with soap.
