Abstract

Postpartum infections, such as sepsis, are still the main cause of maternal death in developing countries. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene and perineal wound healing in post-partum mothers at the Romana Tanjung Anom Clinic, Sidodadi Village in 2023. The research method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population was all 32 post partum mothers with birth canal lacerations, and all of them were used as research samples. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene and healing of perineal wounds in post-partum mothers, seen from the results of the chi-square test, which showed a p value of 0.003 < 0.005. It is hoped that health workers at the Romana Tanjung Anom Clinic will provide counseling to post partum mothers about personal hygiene so that mothers get information about how to carry out personal hygiene correctly so that perineal wounds can heal in <6 days

Abstract

One of the main challenges faced by workers in the palm oil industry is routine health monitoring. Therefore, innovation is needed in the form of health monitoring tools that can facilitate and increase the efficiency of employee health monitoring. The Internet of Things (IoT) has become an increasingly popular solution to overcome these challenges. The use of this technology is expected to increase employee health resilience, detect potential health problems early, and provide a quick response to health conditions that require medical attention.

Abstract

Providing nursing services based on nurses' caring behavior can improve the quality of health services. Nurses' caring behavior is not only able to increase patient satisfaction, but can also generate profits for the hospital. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of patient satisfaction in the Inpatient Room at Tanjungpura Regional Hospital. The research design used is a correlational design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, namely 80 patients. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank Test with a Sig value of 0.001, where the value is < (0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The correlation value shows 0.025, which means there is a strong relationship. It is recommended that nurses continue to develop caring behavioral abilities towards patients and improve skills and knowledge by increasing their education level and participating in training.

Abstract

This systematic literature review explores the role of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)-based mind-body interventions in improving wound healing within nursing practice. Wound healing is a complex, multifactorial process influenced not only by cellular and molecular factors but also by psychological and immune responses. Despite the growing body of evidence supporting the efficacy of mind-body practices such as guided imagery, hypnotherapy, and meditation in managing stress and modulating immune responses, there is limited integration of these interventions into clinical nursing practices. This review aims to bridge this gap by synthesizing studies published between 2020 and 2024 that examine the impact of these interventions on wound healing outcomes. The review follows the PRISMA protocol, analyzing data from 50 primary studies focusing on RCTs, systematic reviews, and quasi-experimental designs. The results show significant improvements in wound closure rates, pain reduction, and immune modulation (e.g., reduction in cortisol and pro-inflammatory cytokines) in patients who received mind-body interventions. The findings support the hypothesis that mind-body interventions, by addressing both psychological stress and immune function, enhance wound healing. The proposed framework for integrating PNI-based interventions into nursing practice could improve patient outcomes in chronic wound management. Future research should focus on long-term studies with larger sample sizes and standardized intervention protocols to further validate these findings.
