Abstract

This community service initiative focuses on improving student engagement and learning outcomes in science education at SMPN 5 Ukui through the application of game-based learning models. Conducted over two sessions in July 2024, the program employed the Number head together and Team Games Tournament methods to foster active participation and enhance students' understanding of the material. Despite challenges such as limited facilities, the initiative successfully increased student interest and involvement in learning science. The program demonstrated that game-based learning can be an effective tool for transforming traditional teaching methods, particularly in rural schools with limited resources. The results indicate a positive impact on student motivation and academic performance, suggesting the potential for broader implementation in similar educational settings. The initiative underscores the importance of innovative teaching approaches in achieving educational goals and highlights the need for continued support and resources to ensure the sustainability and scalability of such programs in the future.

Abstract

Pembahasan ini dilatar belakangi oleh keingintahuan penulis terhadap lansia yang mengalami masalah kesehatan seperti hipertensi, diabetes melitus, dan asam urat menggunakan aplikasi website lansia mandiri untuk memberikan solusi dari masalah terkait mengontrol hipertensi, diabetes dan asam urat pada lansia dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital, sehingga lansia dapat mengontrol tekanan darah, kadar gula darah dan asam urat secara mandiri. Jurnal ini menjelaskan tentang penggunaan website lansia mandiri pada lansia yang mempunyai masalah kesehatan seperti hipertensi, Diabetes Melitus, dan asam urat. Rumusan masalahnya adalah supaya membantu lansia untuk mengetahui nilai normal dari penyakit hipertensi, asam urat, dan DM. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode yang mengembangkan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R & D) terkait dengan pengembangan prototype aplikasi berbasis web untuk ontrol diabetes, hipertensi dan asam urat. Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the school environment at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru, to find out whether there is a significant influence between the school environment on learning motivation and learning outcomes of students at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is the causal correlation study method. Where the sample consists of 30 students, namely class V of elementary school. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire while to analyze the data using the normality, homogeneity and hypothesis test formulas. This is evidenced in the t-test hypothesis test obtaining a value of 4.743 with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05. it can be concluded that the learning environment plays an important role in the learning process, especially on learning outcomes. Furthermore, there is a positive and significant influence between the learning environment and learning outcomes. This is evidenced in the t-test hypothesis test obtaining a value of 4.412 with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05. it can be concluded that the learning environment plays an important role in the learning process, especially on student learning motivation., meaning that there is a significant influence between the school environment on learning motivation and learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Helmet use is a critical safety measure for motorcycle riders, yet non-compliance remains high in Indonesia. This study introduces a real-time helmet detection system using the YOLOv8 architecture, deployed on Android devices with the Kotlin programming language. A dataset of 1,197 digital images was collected and annotated using Roboflow Annotate, containing two classes: helmet users (True) and non-users (False). To improve model generalization, data augmentation techniques such as rotation and shear were applied. The model was trained using the pretrained yolov8n.pt weights and evaluated based on mAP and Intersection over Union (IoU). During training, the model achieved a mAP50 of 98% and a mAP50–95 of 59.6%. In testing, the mAP50 reached 98.3% and mAP50–95 reached 61%, with an average IoU of 0.73. The trained model was then converted into TensorFlow Lite format and integrated into an Android application. Real-time testing showed a detection accuracy of 93.3%. These results demonstrate that YOLOv8 is effective for mobile-based real-time helmet detection and has strong potential to support traffic law enforcement systems, especially in urban environments where manual monitoring is inefficient. The system contributes to enhancing public safety through smart technology integration.

Abstract

Dalam perencanaan desain struktur bangunan, terdapat dua komponen utama, yaitu struktur dan non-struktur. Bagian non-struktur mencakup elemen-elemen bangunan yang tidak berfungsi untuk menahan beban, seperti dinding, plafon, dan lainnya. Semua elemen tersebut perlu dirancang dengan hati-hati agar tidak terjadi kegagalan pada bangunan. Begitu pula dengan pelat lantai, yang merupakan elemen struktural penting. Plat lantai adalah komponen horizontal dalam struktur yang menahan beban mati dan beban hidup, serta mentransfernya ke rangka vertikal dari sistem struktur. Salah satu masalah utama dalam perencanaan plat lantai adalah lendutan, yang dapat disebabkan oleh korosi pada tulangan, sehingga mengurangi kekuatan beton bertulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kekuatan lentur plat lantai dengan inovasi penggunaan tulangan wiremesh dan bambu. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas kuat lentur plat lantai beton bertulangan baja (wire mesh) rata-rata sebesar 0,5262 ton.m, sedangkan kapasitas kuat lentur plat lantai beton bertulangan bambu rata-rata sebesar 0,1678 ton.m.
