Abstract

Multicultural Education is education that should be mandatory in basic education in both SD and MI. Because multicultural education is education about cultural diversity in response to demographic and cultural changes in a particular community or even the world as a whole or globally. Islam has also taught a lot about how to respect multiculturalism itself, both in the Al-Quran and in the Medina charter. This study uses a literature study research method. Derived from various references to find research results. The results of the discussion of this study are that the attitudes that must be developed in multicultural education for MI/SD students are as follows. The first is egalitarianism or al-musawat which views humans as equals. Justice or al-adalat, mutual tolerance or tasamuh, ties of friendship, the principle of peace or al ta'ayus al silmi, and finally wise, constructive and transformative dialogue or mujadalat bi al-hasan. If all these attitudes grow in the souls of MI/SD children, a harmonious, peaceful life will be created in accordance with Islam which is rohmatan lil alamin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi sehingga implementasi pendidikan karakter toleransi yang terdapat dalam muatan pembelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan untuk anak MI/ SD. Metode penelitian ini adalah pengembangan Borg and Gall. Langkah-langkah pengmbangannya yaitu: 1) Menentukan potensi dan Masalah, 2) Mengumpulkan Data, 3) Mendesain Produk, 4) Validasi Desain, 5) Merevisi Desain, 6) Menguji Coba Produk, 7) Merevisi Produk, 8) Menguji coba Pemakaian, dan yang terakhir Merevisi Produk. Penelitian ini bertempat di MI AlMumtaz Gunungkidul, sedangkan subjek uji coba adalah siswa kels VI yang berjumlah 13 anak. Instrumen dalam penelitian yaitu daftar pertanyaan wawancara dan angket. Daftar wawancara dipakai untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru kelas dan peserta didik. Angket dipakai untuk memvalidasi kualitas produk buku yang terdiri dari 1 ahli media, 1 ahli bahasa dan 1 ahli materi serta peserta didik kelas VIsebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas dari buku berdasar dari uji validasi yang telah didapatkan dari ahli media dengan skor 3,4 dengan kategori baik dan ahli materi yaitu dengan skor 4,35 kategori sangat baik baik. Validasi penilaian buku berdasar ahli materi dengan skor 4,62 kategori “Sangat Baik”. Kemudian rata-rata penilaian para ahli adalah 4,12 dengan kategori “Baik”. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa produk yang dikembangkan peneliti dalam kategori “Baik” dan layak digunakan.

Abstract

The low science literacy ability for Central Java Province is certainly related to educational institutions that produce prospective science teachers. The better and more mature the preparations are made, the more professional the graduates are produced. The purpose of this study is to reveal the phenomenon that occurs in an Islamic university in Surakarta as one of the producers of prospective MI teachers. The aspects measured include the essence of science and how to learn science. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The findings of this research are distinguished from three major challenges, namely (1) Specialization in the scientific field starts from the selection of science courses that are less accommodating to pay attention to the tendency of interest of prospective MI teachers, (2) the determination of courses should refer to the acquisition of science literacy assessments nationally and the rankings of PISA and TIMSS Indonesia, and (3) It is necessary to provide more intensive debriefing to prospective MI teachers about professionalism competencies.
