Abstract

The increasing number of problems experienced by married couples who do not have children among Christians such as loss of harmony, family violence, infidelity and divorce are important concerns for pastors in the Church. This study uses reference books and articles found through the internet with literature review and bibliological descriptive methods, namely making the Bible as a solution to solve problems that occur. So the conclusion is that household problems must be solved by applying a Christian counseling model based on the principles of Birth Theology. The model is a model of believing with a firm faith, a model of surrendering and repenting to God, a model of making a vow to ask God.  The research results showed that through understanding the Theology of Birth which refers to understanding the concept of God as the initiator of birth, God helps the birth process and the birth of a child is a gift from God, and God is also the one who has power over married couples who do not or do not have children. However, Allah is willing to take into account efforts to have children. Thus, through Birth Theology with an approach to the model of faith, surrender, or repentance, even making a vow to God in the hope of obtaining it.

Abstract

Abstract This research is based on the widespread issues heard around the church, both inside and outside the church, related to Christology. The issue is increasingly growing because of the strong influence of social media witnessed by the masses, in this case the churches, especially in the Gekesia neighborhood in the Manna city area, South Bengkulu. Thus, all churches in the Inter-Church Cooperation Agency in South Bengkulu took the initiative to hold regular coaching to clarify Christian issues. The material that is our guidance is that the Church must be ready to face and "fight" all these issues with accountability of faith, or what is called Christian Apologetics. This coaching uses a dialectical - responsive method, namely the presenter as the key speaker first explains the main material in a narrative and monologue, then continues with the audience's response, in this case the church or Christians who are "affected" by the theological issue. The results of the coaching obtained a generally responsive and enthusiastic response through the many coaching participants who asked questions to the event moderator, and provided impressions of their experience of discussing with the resource persons. The event will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2023. Coaching will be held on the second day, namely September 29 2023 at 09:00 – 12:00, and continued at 13:30 – 15:00. The method we use is dialectic - responsive with an emphasis on education, namely applying the Bible as the basis we use to respond to attacks from issues regarding Christology. Of course, the implementation is through a strategy of correct Apologetics towards this effort. We who conducted the education saw that the number of participants who took part was 88 participants, dominated by the adult age group, relatively aged 35 – 60 years. Nearly 86% of the total number of participants present was enthusiastic, this indicates enthusiasm that really met their doctrinal curiosity needs.

Abstract

Evangelism is one of the fundamental aspects of Christian theology that aims to spread the good news of Christ. As the times evolve, evangelism faces various challenges, including secularization, social change, and technological developments that affect the way the church reaches the people. In this context, the theological understanding of evangelism and its impact on church growth is a relevant issue to be studied. This study aims to examine the theological review of evangelism and analyze how evangelism contributes to the growth of the church. In addition, the study also identifies evangelistic strategies that are relevant to the global context and challenges of the church today. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were collected from a variety of academic sources, including theological journals, missiology books, and Bible studies. The analytical techniques used are descriptive-qualitative, which aims to understand the relationship between evangelism and church growth based on relevant theological and empirical sources. The results of the study show that evangelism has a significant impact on the growth of the church, both in terms of the number of congregations and spiritual depth. The various evangelistic methods that have been applied in the history of the church, such as personal evangelism, mass evangelism, and the use of digital media, have different effectiveness depending on the social and cultural context. In addition, discipleship as part of evangelism has proven to be an important factor in maintaining the sustainability of church growth. This research contributes to the development of a more contextual and strong theology-based evangelistic strategy. The church in the modern era needs to adapt a more inclusive and digital-based approach to evangelism without eliminating its theological values.
