Abstract

Abstract WhatsApp is one of the most practical social media. The ease of use and completeness of features of the application can be used as a learning media at various levels of education, including lectures. This research examines student satisfaction with the WhatsApp Group (WAG) use as learning media in the Ulumul Hadith course. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Data was obtained from a survey distributed to 73 students using Google Forms. The survey found that 94.5% of students stated that Ulumul Hadith's lectures using WAG media are elementary to follow, and 84.9% answered that using WAG as a learning medium increased student motivation. Furthermore, the survey finds that 63% of students are "Satisfied," 34.2% are "Slightly Satisfied," and 2.7% are "Not Satisfied." The research recommends three things for WhatsApp use. Firstly, firmness of learning flow; secondly, lecture attendance rule and active participation. Abstrak Aplikasi WhatsApp merupakan salah satu media sosial paling praktis. Kemudahan akses dan fitur yang tersedia pada aplikasi WhatsApp dapat digunakan sebagai media belajar untuk berbagai tingkatan Pendidikan termasuk dalam perkuliahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap pemanfaatan aplikasi WhatsApp Group sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Ulumul Hadis. Adapun jenis penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dari survei yang disebarkan kepada 73 mahasiswa menggunakan aplikasi Google Form. Berdasarkan hasil survei, ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 94,5% menyatakan bahwa perkuliahan Ulumul Hadis menggunakan media WAG sangat memudahkan mahasiswa, sebanyak 84,9% menjawab penggunaan WAG sebagai media pembelajaran meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam mempelajari hadis. Selanjutnya untuk kepuasan media pembelajaran dengan WAG, sebanyak 63% menjawab “Puas”, 34,2% menjawab “Tidak Puas” dan 2,7% menjawab “Kurang Puas”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian direkomendasikan tiga hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi WhatsApp sebagai media pembelajaran, yaitu alur perkuliahan, ketentuan mengikuti perkuliahan dan partisipasi aktif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine strategy of da'wah to non-Muslims contained in Tafsīr Marāḥ Labīd by Nawawī al-Jāwī. Da'wah activities carried out against non-Muslims are always aimed at inviting them to convert Islam. This is contrary to the messages contained in the Qur'an and the values of religious freedom guaranteed by the state. This study uses a qualitative method with data analysis using content analysis. This study concludes that da'wah to non-Muslims in Nawawi's view is not in the form of an effort to invite them to Islam, but the delivery of a message to well behaved. The issue of faith, in Nawawi's view, is a guide that can only be given by God. In order for the message of da'wah to be conveyed, Nawawi emphasizes the da'wah method used that is not violent. This prohibition is absolute, except in the process the preacher experiences threats that can interfere with faith. However, Nawawī emphasized that if this happens and it is possible to avoid it, then a preacher is advised to avoid and not to resort to violence. In this context, Nawawī also prohibits acts of da'wah in the name of jihad in the form of violence.
