Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to investigate the representations of infidelity and loyalty, and its effects of the actor of the infidelity and loyalty on the communication of an Islamic family as presented in the soap opera “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”. The method used in analyzing the soap opera “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri” was descriptive- qualitative with the approach of semiotic theory by Roland Barthes. In semiotic approach, the message communication process experienced two layers of meaning, namely he first layer (denotation or the illustration of the infidelity and loyalty in the opera soap “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”) and the second layer (connotation or the concept of infidelity and loyalty). The research results revealed that there were 86 pictures representing the infidelity, 10 pictures representing the loyalty, and 20 pictures representing the effect of the infidelity actor, and 2 pictures representing the effect of the loyalty actor on the family communication in the islamic perspective as represented in the opera soap “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”. Besides, in the opera soap “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri” semiotically, the signs for lying were used to represent infidelity, while the signs of the shalehah women were used to represent loyalty. In the opera soap “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”, infidelity and loyalty effects had significant effects on the communication of islamic families.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi perselingkuhan dan kesetiaan serta pengaruh yang ditimbulkan oleh pemeran perselingkuhan dan kesetiaan terhadap komunikasi keluarga islam yang direpresentasikan dalam sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri” adalah deskripsi kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Dalam pendekatan semiotika, proses komunikasi pesan mengalami dua lapisan pemaknaan, yaitu lapisan pertama (denotasi atau penggambaran perselingkuhan dan kesetiaan dalam sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”) dan lapisan kedua (konotasi atau konsep tentang perselingkuhan dan kesetiaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 86 gambar representasi perselingkuhan, 10 gambar representasi kesetiaan, dan 20 gambar representasi pengaruh yang ditimbulkan oleh pemeran perselingkuhan serta 2 gambar representasi yang ditimbulkan oleh pemeran kesetiaan terhadap komunikasi keluarga ditinjau dari perspektif islam yang direpresentasikan dalam sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri”. Selain itu, dalam sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang Istri” secara semiotik, tanda berbohong digunakan untuk merepresentasikan perselingkuhan dan tanda wanita shalehah digunakan untuk merepresentasikan kesetiaan. Dalam sinetron “Catatan Hati Seorang istri”, perselingkuhan dan kesetiaan memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap komunikasi keluarga ditinjau dari perspektif islam.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of field trip Mangrove Pulau Dua Nature Reserve on the scientific attitude of high school students. The research method is used quasi experiment. On the design using two classes, experimental class and control class. The population is used the students of grade X SMA Negeri A Kota Serang. Data were obtained from a scientific attitude questionnaire calculated using MSI (Methode of Successive Interval) and a questionnaire of teacher and student responses regarding the implementation of learning. The results showed that there was no significant difference of scientific attitude between the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

This article aims to explore a possible criterion of digital technology mathematics teachers’ professional development[1]. The criterion was canvassed through qualitative exploratory study which involve a hybrid model of DigiTech TPD, online published articles of related TPD, and theoretical perspective which relate to digital technology in mathematics education. Related frameworks (Drijverset al, 2010; Trocki Hollebrands, 2018) and content analysis were utilized to analyze the first two data. Theoretical perspectives of digital technology in mathematics education were accounted to reflect prior data and explore the criterion. We found that the current TPD[2]has not developed the knowledge of task design and supported teachers' roles in orchestrating technology-rich mathematics teaching as seen in the low level of tasks and teachers' orchestration in the classroom. Related articles on TPD in Indonesia show that the programs have not touched decisive factors of successfully implementing digital technology. An alternative criterion for DigiTech TPD is explored which includes three aspects namely theoretical approach, model and content. It could be alternative point of departure for designing and conducting DigiTech TPD in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract — The Indonesian Language Teaching Program for Foreigners (BIPA) is increasingly widespread both in BIPA training institutions in Indonesia as well as in BIPA training institutions overseas. This development indicates that currently Indonesian language has started to reach the interest of foreigners both residing in Indonesia and overseas with various purposes. Unfortunately, as foreigners, they often make mistakes in Indonesian language. Due to the misuse of Indonesian language by foreigners, there needs to be a deeper study about what factors that cause foreigners make mistakes in the use of Indonesian language and about how to teach Indonesian language to foreigners by considering the theories of language acquisition, i.e. behaviorism, innatism, and interactionism. The purpose of this paper is to briefly describe the factors that cause foreigners make mistakes in the use of Indonesian language and the theories of language acquisition, namely behaviorism, innatism, and interactionism. Keywords — pengajaran, pembelajar, instruktur, BIPA, behaviorism, innatism, interactionismAbstrak — Program pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) semakin marak dilaksanakan baik di lembaga-lembaga pelatihan BIPA dalam negeri maupun di lembaga-lembaga pelatihan BIPA luar negeri. Perkembangan ini menunjukkan bahwa saat ini Bahasa Indonesia sudah mulai dilirik dan diminati oleh penutur asing baik yang berada di Indonesia maupun di luar negeri dengan berbagai tujuan. Namun sebagai penutur asing, mereka seringkali melakukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa Indonesia. Dengan adanya masalah berupa kesalahan penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia oleh penutur asing ini, perlu adanya sebuah kajian yang lebih dalam tentang faktor–faktor yang menyebabkan penutur asing melakukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa Indonesia dan tentang bagaimana sebaiknya mengajarkan Bahasa Indonesia kepada penutur asing dengan mempertimbangkan teori-teori pemerolehan bahasa, yaitu teori  behaviorist, innatist, dan interactionist.Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk memaparkan secara singkat faktor–faktor yang menyebabkan penutur asing melakukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa Indonesia dan teori-teori pemerolehan bahasa, yaitu teori behaviorist, innatist, dan interactionist. Kata Kunci — pengajaran, pembelajar, instruktur, BIPA, behaviorist, innatist, interactionist

Abstract

Tugas dan produk yang tergolong baik adalah tugas dan produk yang berbeda dari biasanya atau bersifat inovatif. Produk yang inovatif dihasilkan dari pemikiran kreatif mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Project Based Learning (PjBL), yaitu pembelajaran berbasis proyek, sehingga tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengukur persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran yang mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) sebagai penelitian pendahuluan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus longitudinal survey. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa pada matakuliah Pengembangan Praktikum Biologi di Sekolah Menengah (PPSM) di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Untirta pada Tahun 2019. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari kuesioner dan wawancara persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran. Analisis data kuesioner dilakukan secara deskriptif dalam kategori yang ditetapkan dan hasil wawancara dianalisis dengan mereduksi pertanyaan dan jawaban yang sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan persentase sebesar 80% dengan kriteria baik dan mampu membuat mahasiswa berpikir imajinasi dan menghasilkan sesuatu yang berbeda dari biasanya. Dengan demikian implementasi pembelajaran yang mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang dintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) dapat diterima dengan baik oleh mahasiswa. Tasks and products that are classified as good are tasks and products that are different from usual or are innovative. Innovative products are produced from students 'creative thinking through Project Based Learning, so the purpose of study was to measure students' perception of learning that developed creative thinking skills that was integrated with project-based learning (PjBL) as preliminary research. The method used in this study was qualitative research with a longitudinal survey case study method. The study was conducted on students in Pengembangan Praktikum Biologi di Sekolah Menengah (PPSM) Course in Biology Education Study Program, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in 2019. Data collection techniques consisted of questionnaire and interview of students' perception of learning. Questionnaire data analysis was carried out descriptively in the specified categories and the results of the interview were analyzed by reducing questions and answers that fit the focus of the study. The results showed that students' perception of learning with a percentage of 80% with good criteria and were able to make students think imagination and produce something different from usual. Thus the implementation of learning that developed creative thinking skills that was integrated with project-based learning (PjBL) can be well received by students.

Abstract

The mindsets in understanding the teaching of a religion vary greatly among individuals or group of people,which are influenced by their prominent figures and books they read. As a result, conservative, moderate, and liberalmindsets can be found in society. In the last few years, people were surprised by the emergence of religious groups,especially in Islam, which tend to be conservative, irrational, and often using violence to defend their belief. Thisphenomenon seems to be the opposite of this modern era which tries to promote freedom in religion and behavior. Thisarticle discusses the history of the term "fundamentalism", how it refers to a certain movement in Islam which tends to destroythe characteristics of Islam as "rahmatan lil 'alamin" (bless to universe). In addition, the term "fundamentalism" has somechanges in meaning so that it is necessary to study what fundamentalism really means, the background, how it works, andhow to treat it.

Abstract

In Islam, a prophet has very significant roles. Among them are as a messenger, an agent of change, and a guide to civilized society. The history of prophets in al-Qur'an is explained without any cerfain orders. They are described as revolutionary figures who guide the society from the dark age to the new thinking based on the ideology of tauhid.

Abstract

Students show deficient understanding on fraction division and supporting that understanding remains a challenge for mathematics educators. This article aims to describe primary students’ understanding of partitive fraction division (PFD) and explore ways to support their understanding through the use of sequenced fractions and context-related graphical representations. In a design-research study, forty-four primary students were involved in three cycles of teaching experiments. Students’ works, transcript of recorded classroom discussion, and field notes were retrospectively analyzed to examine the hypothetical learning trajectories. There are three main findings drawn from the teaching experiments. Firstly, context of the tasks, the context-related graphical representations, and the sequence of fractions used do support students’ understanding of PFD. Secondly, the understanding of non-unit rate problems did not support the students’ understanding of unit rate problems. Lastly, the students were incapable of determining symbolic representations from unit rate problems and linking the problems to fraction division problems. The last two results imply to rethink unit rate as part of a partitive division with fractions. Drawing upon the findings, four alternative ways are offered to support students’ understanding of PFD, i.e., the lesson could be starting from partitive whole number division to develop the notion of fair-sharing, strengthening the concept of unit in fraction and partitioning, choosing specific contexts with more relation to the graphical representations, and sequencing the fractions used, from a simple to advanced form.

Abstract

Siswa perlu memiliki motivasi, khususnya dalam hal belajar. Penggunaan model pembelajaran dapat menjadi salah satu aspek penting untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa. Ekosistem merupakan salah satu konsep pelajaran biologi yang cukup mudah untuk ditemukan di lingkungan sekitar siswa dan dapat diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA di Kota Serang dalam model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada penerapan konsep ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April 2019. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas X MIPA SMA 5 Kota Serang dan 15 siswa kelas X MIPA 1 digunakan sebagai sampel yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar angket motivasi belajar siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan jurnal reflektif guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada konsep ekosistem berada pada kategori sedang. Motivasi eksternal siswa sedikit lebih tinggi dari pada motivasi internal siswa dalam model PBM pada konsep ekosistem. Motivasi yang timbul dari dalam diri (internal) akan lebih stabil dibandingkan dengan motivasi belajar eksternal yang muncul dari faktor luar diri. Students need to be motivated, especially in terms of learning. The use of learning models can be an important aspect of fostering student motivation. Ecosystem is one of the concepts of biology that is quite easy to find in the environment around students and can be applied with problem-based learning model. The purpose of study was to analyze the motivation possessed by high school students in Serang City in problem-based learning on ecosystem concept. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted in April 2019. The study population was all grade X MIPA SMA 5 Serang City and 15 students of grade X MIPA 1 were used as samples taken randomly. The instrument used consisted of a student learning motivation questionnaire sheet, an observation sheet for the implementation of problem-based learning, and a teacher's reflective journal. The results showed that students' motivation through learning based on ecosystem concept was in the medium category. Students' external motivation was slightly higher than students' internal motivation in the problem based learning for the ecosystem concept. Motivation that arises from within (internal) will be more stable than external motivation that arises from external factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the mind mapping-based PBL model to student learning outcomes using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles with the research sample of all students in class XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 3 Salatiga consisting of 33 students. This study used a qualitative approach and processed descriptive analysis with research instruments, namely observation sheets and pretest and posttest questions. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes based on the application of mind mapping-based PBL models in economics subjects. The advice given in this study is that economics teachers can develop PBL models in implementing economic learning.
