Abstract

Wastewater from restaurants has a high organic content. Wastewater must be processed until it conforms with the effluent standard before being disposed of in water. Construction of subsurface wetland is one of the treatment options. This study made use of a reactor that Kiambang and Melati Air had planted. Sedimentation basin, wetland basin, and treatment basin are the three reservoirs used in this study. The wastewater was a sedimented effluent from restaurant operations. Seeding, acclimation, and running are the processes used. running for seven days. The variables under test were pH, TSS, and BOD (biological oxygen demand). Before treatment, the concentration is BOD 546,75 mg/l, TSS 340 mg/l, and pH 7,24. After treatment, the concentration is BOD 30,75 mg/l, TSS 95 mg/l, and pH 7,42. As a result, BOD has an efficiency of 94,376% and TSS has an efficiency of 72%. The concentrations of TSS did not meet the set quality criteria, although the levels of BOD and pH did.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebanyak 85,6% pasar tradisional di Indonesia memiliki fasilitas kurang memadai baik dari sisi keberadaan, kebersihan, dan kelayakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sanitasi lingkungan yang ada di Pasar Tradisional Flamboyan Kota Pontianak berdasarkan pada Permenkes RI Nomor 17 Tahun 2020 Tentang Pasar Sehat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei deskriptif yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Observasi dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung, wawancara dilakukan kepada pengelola pasar, dan kuesioner diberikan kepada 95 pedagang yang dihitung menggunakan rumus slovin serta sampel yang diambil menggunakan metode stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pasar Flamboyan mendapatkan skor 59,7% sehingga dikategorikan belum memenuhi syarat sebagai pasar sehat. Bangunan pasar, bangunan kios/los, suhu, cahaya dan kelembaban, tempat parkir, tempat pembuangan sampah, saluran limbah dan drainase, pengendalian binatang penularan penyakit, keamanan pasar serta perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat belum memenuhi syarat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Pasar Flamboyan dapat menjadi Pasar Sehat apabila melakukan perbaikan seperti penambahan tempat sampah dan tempat cuci tangan serta perbaikan saluran drainase. ABSTRACT In Indonesia, 85.6% of traditional markets require additional amenities in terms of their existence, cleanliness, and feasibility. This study aimed to analyse environmental sanitation at Flamboyan Traditional Market in Pontianak City, based on Regulation of Minister Health of Republic Indonesia Number 17 of 2020 about Healthy Market. This study was descriptive survey using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Observations were made by direct observation, and interviews were undertaken with market managers. Questionnaires were distributed to 95 traders who were calculated using the solving formula and stratified random sampling. The research findings demonstrated that the Flamboyan Market scored 59.7%, indicating that it did not satisfy the requirements of a healthy market. The criteria did not satisfy the requirements of market buildings, kiosk buildings, temperature, light, and humidity, parking lots, garbage disposal, sewage and drainage, management of disease-transmitting animals, market security, and clean and healthy living behavior. The conclusion is Flamboyan Market can become a Healthy Market if makes improvements such as additional garbage cans and hand washing stations, and repairing drainage canals
