Abstract

The application of green chemistry and environmental knowledge plays an important role in shaping individuals' awareness and actions toward environmental sustainability. By applying green chemistry and having good environmental knowledge, it can increase environmental awareness, so that it can increase environmental care behavior. Students who have good environmental knowledge have a more positive attitude toward the environment and tend to care more about the environment. Based on the background, the objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze the school community's perception of the concept of green chemistry and (2) to analyze the correlation between understanding green chemistry and the environment together with environmental care behavior. The research was conducted at SMA Kristen Harapan Denpasar using a random sampling technique with a sample size of 150 people. This research"™s independent variables are an understanding of green chemistry (X1) and an understanding of environmental concepts (X2). In contrast, the dependent variable is environmental care behavior (Y). Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and Product Moment correlation analysis, followed by a t-test and F-test. Based on the research results it can be concluded that: (1) the level of perception of the school community towards green chemistry is 78% very good so it will be able to encourage better attitudes and behaviors towards the environment; (2) environmental care behavior of 11th grade students 58% in the good category, while 12th   grade students 60% in the good category, and there is a correlation between understanding of green chemistry, environmental concepts, and environmental care behavior collectively.

Abstract

This research is aimed at: (1) describing and analyzing the form of actualization of child-friendly educational values ​​in forming the character of students at the Al Madinah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Kebumen; (2) describe and analyze the challenges faced in forming the character of students at the Al Madinah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Kebumen; and (3) describe and analyze the impact of actualizing the value of child-friendly education in character formation at the Al Madinah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Kebumen. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique which consists of data reduction, data display and verification stages. The results of the research show that the actualization of child-friendly educational values ​​to shape the character of students at SD IT Al Madinah makes them have the ability to behave or behave religiously. This religious attitude makes students able to care for others, be polite and courteous, friendly, helpful, obedient to rules, orderly, honest, responsible, disciplined, fair, love cleanliness and non-discriminatory so that they can become friendly people. This ability arises through the actualization of child-friendly educational values ​​carried out through learning activities, habituation, developing talents and interests as well as extracurricular activities, conditioning, and providing gifts and punishments for students.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were a) To analyze the amount of household waste generated in Benda Baru Village and community behavior in managing household waste; b) To analyze the effectiveness of waste banks and TPS 3R in Benda Baru Village; c) To prepare recommendations for community-based waste management policy scenarios, TPS3R in Benda Baru Village. The method used to analyze waste management in Benda Baru Village with TPS 3R facilities is to use a simulation model with a dynamic system approach. Dynamic model simulations were carried out for 3 policy scenarios, namely (1) Business as Usual (BAU) scenario for existing waste management processes can reduce waste generation by 25%; (2) moderate scenario with the addition of TPS 3R units can reduce waste generation by 43%; (3) optimistic scenario by optimizing TPS 3R composter and independent waste processing can reduce waste generation by 48%. Waste generation can be reduced with environmentally friendly and sustainable waste management. Recommendations to reduce waste generation are (1) adding TPS 3R units by maximizing composter processing so that the residue produced is reduced; (2) Independent waste management through low-waste houses needs to be socialized and campaigned, if needed issued as a mayoral regulation in household waste management; (3) Activation of waste banks that are no longer operating and improvement of waste bank management so that they can reach more people.
