Abstract

This research highlights the importance of learning style selection for learners in an educational context, as an adaptation step towards active learning strategies that include searching and experimenting with learning approaches according to each individual's preferences. Learning style is a combination of how a person absorbs, organizes and processes information. Due to the different types of learning styles of each learner, this research focuses on understanding and applying students' learning styles based on individual psychology. The main objective is to provide teaching guidelines that suit different types of learning styles, while exploring the characteristics of students based on the dominance of their learning styles. Through this approach, the research seeks to improve learning effectiveness by considering the diversity of students' learning styles. Qualitative methods were used with data collection through interviews and questionnaire distribution. The survey results show that the average student at SMAN 1 Kota Pinang prefers Auditory learning methods, such as lectures, discussions, questions and answers, oral lectures, and listening to teachers provide information, compared to the visual and kinestic types.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang mengarah pada pemecahan masalah sehingga diperlukan berpikir kreatif, berpikir kreatif merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh siswa terutama dalam proses pembelajaran. Proses berpikir dalam kegiatan pembelajaran merupakan cara yang baik untuk melihat bagaimana cara siswa berfikir. Guru harus mampu mengenali dan membina proses berpikir kreatif siswanya agar dapat menghasilkan pemikiran kreatif matematika. Aritmatika sosial dipilih sebagai materi dalam penelitian ini karena aritmatika sosial bersifat terbuka yang memungkinkan siswa menemukan beberapa solusi dan bentuk soal dapat dihubungkan dalam dunia nyata sehingga dapat terbentuk proses kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kreatif matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah aritmatika sosial pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Pondok Pesantren Darul Ihsan Modern. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, sumber data yang digunakan adalah hasil tes berpikir kreatif, pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan tiga subjek yang diambil dari dua kelas yaitu VIII-A dan VIII-B yang dipilih berdasarkan tingkat kemampuannya yaitu kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil tes berpikir kreatif pada materi aritmatika sosial dan wawancara, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator tahapan berpikir kreatif teori Wallas. Siswa berkemampuan sedang mampu melewati tahapan berpikir kreatif Wallas, tetapi terhambat pada tahap verifikasi. Siswa berkemampuan rendah tidak dapat memenuhi indikator proses berpikir teoritis Wallas, karena terkendala pada tahap persiapan, iluminasi, dan verifikasi.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling yang disediakan oleh SMP Negeri 2 Nibung Hangus Kabupaten Batu Bara. Subjek penelitian ini ialah guru bimbingan konseling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dianalisis dengan mengadakan penelaahan terhadap buku-buku, literatur-literatur, catatan-catatan atau laporan-laporan yang berhubungan dengan permasalahan yang sedang diteliti. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SMP Negeri 2 Nibung Hangus telah memiliki program bimbingan dan konseling yang baik meskipun belum terlaksana sesuai dengan ketentuan. Guru bimbingan konseling memiliki tanggung jawab dalam mengasuh 150 siswa yang menjadi tanggung jawab dalam pelaksanaan layanan. Program bimbingan konseling dijalankan sesuai dengan analisis kebutuhan siswa serta membantu dalam mencapai tugas perkembangan siswa. Kata Kunci. Pelayanan; Bimbingan; Konseling   Abstract. This study aims to find out how guidance and counseling services are provided by Junior High School 2 Nibung Hangus, Batu Bara Regency. The subject of this research is guidance counseling teachers. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained from this study were analyzed by conducting a review of books, literature, notes or reports related to the problem being studied. The results obtained from this study indicate that Nibung Hangus 2 Public Junior High School already has a good guidance and counseling program even though it has not been implemented in accordance with the provisions. Counseling guidance teachers have responsibility for caring for 150 students who are responsible for implementing services. The guidance and counseling program is carried out in accordance with an analysis of student needs and assists in achieving student development tasks. Keywords. Service; Guidance; Counseling
