Abstract

Quality education is the hope and demand of all education stakeholders. In addition, education is an effort to form a complete human being. Education is also one of the determinants in improving human resources. Teachers as educators play an important role in this matter. One of the efforts that can be made to make it happen is by developing learning designs so as to create effective and efficient learning. The Dick and Carry learning design model is one of the learning models that can be used in developing Indonesian language teaching materials at the elementary school level. This study aims to find out how to develop teaching materials for grade 3 Indonesian materials in elementary schools. Based on empirical results and observations that have been made on the Dick and Carry learning model, it is known that the development of this model is very appropriate to be applied in developing Indonesian language teaching materials, especially at the Grade 3 Elementary School level. This is because the Dick and Carry learning model refers to general stages learning development system, so that this model is appropriately applied in skill-based subjects. In addition to this, the Dick and Carry model has 10 systematic learning steps, from identifying the general learning objectives to carrying out evaluations.

Abstract

Through an evaluation of 10 papers and one lesson plan for grade 4, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning mathematics using a realistic mathematics approach (PMR). This study combines a kind of literature study with a qualitative methodology. Data collection, including reading appropriate publications and lesson plans, can be carried out to determine the efficacy of a practical mathematics approach. The Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) is a great method for teaching and understanding mathematics which is very good for students. The focus of this approach is realistic concepts through relevant examples and questions and connecting them with real life which is expected for students to be able to master the material.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low academic achievement of students in the IPAS subject, particularly in the theme of Indonesian cultural wealth, as well as the limited use of creative learning media at the elementary school level. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the impact of using puzzle media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Karang Mulya 1. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and purposive sampling technique was employed, involving two class groups: IVA as the experimental group and IVC as the control group, each consisting of 30 students. The research instrument consisted of 25 validated multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed using the t-test. The results show no significant difference in the pre-test scores of the two groups; however, a significant difference was found in the post-test scores after the treatment, with t-count (2.067) > t-table (2.001). These findings indicate that the use of puzzle media has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. The study concludes that puzzle media can serve as an effective alternative for improving IPAS learning outcomes. The implications highlight the importance of innovative media in enhancing student participation and understanding, and provide a reference for the development of other contextual learning media in elementary education.
