Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa fase D SMPN 4 Painan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah model digunakan dengan sangat baik atau tidak, jika baik maka akan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah menggunakan model Project Based Learning. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling dengan sampel yang digunakan kelas IX.3 sebanyak 20 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes unjuk kerja. Data penelitian ini adalah skor hasil menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, kemampuan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa fase D SMPN 4 Painan sebelum menggunakan model Project Based Learning kualifikasi cukup karena ada beberapa siswa yang masih belum sesuai menulis dengan struktur artikel ilmiah populer, khususnya pada bagian judul masih ada siswa yang membuat judul kuranng menarik bagi pembaca. Kedua, kemampuan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa fase D SMPN 4 Painan sesudah menggunakan model Project Based Learning kualifikasi baik, rata-rata siswa sudah membuat judul yang menarik untuk dibaca, dan ada beberapa siswa yang membuat isi sesuai dengan strukturnya Ketiga, model Project Based Learning terbukti berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer yang pada awalnya siswa masih terkendala membuat judul yang menarik untuk dibaca, dan bagian isi yang siswa sudah bisa menjelaskan lebih rinci tentang topik yang diberikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the influence of the use of the Think Talk Write model has on the skills of writing speech texts in Class IX students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The method used in this study is the pre-experimental method. The population in this study were class IX students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang who were enrolled in 2022-2023, while the sample for this study was class IXB with a total of 26 students. The X variable is the Think Talk Write model, while the Y variable is the ability to write speech texts. The research instrument used was the test. The data collection technique used in this study was to provide performance tests. The tests were given twice in the form of pretest and posttest. At the first meeting the teacher conducted teaching and learning activities. In the second meeting the teacher carried out teaching and learning activities using the Think Talk Write model. At the third meeting the teacher gave a posttest. The results of this study are that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus the use of the Think Talk Write model influences the speech writing skills of class IX students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang.

Abstract

This training aimed to enhance the professional competence of early childhood and kindergarten (PAUD and TK) teachers in Pariaman City in writing scientific articles and developing teaching materials based on artificial intelligence (AI). Conducted online in a single intensive session, the program combined interactive lectures, participatory discussions, and hands-on practice. A total of 30 participants actively engaged in the training, which focused on the utilization of AI-based applications such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Mendeley, and Canva. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests, post-tests, and qualitative observation. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' understanding of scientific article structure, citation techniques, and creativity in designing interactive teaching materials. The training also succeeded in boosting teachers' motivation to write and publish scholarly works independently. This article underscores the importance of AI technology integration as a transformative strategy for teacher capacity building in the digital era. The novelty of this initiative lies in its practical-empirical approach, combining digital literacy and contemporary pedagogy within the context of early childhood teacher training. Recommendations include the need for ongoing training and personalized mentoring to ensure sustained impact. The outcomes of this program contribute meaningfully to improving teacher quality and accelerating digital literacy in the basic education environment. Abstract

Student needs for each course are different. Implementations that do not meet the needs will cause problems in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of materials to be used in creative writing classes, especially while learning opinion writing that meets the students' needs of learning materials. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. Using purposive sampling technique, 38 of all students of the PGRI University of West Sumatra in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, participated in this study. The students were asked to respond to an online questionnaire investigating their situation in the creative writing class, their needs and difficulties in learning materials about opinion writing as one of subtopics in the creative writing course. This research provides insights to design a Flipped Project Based Learning model using an e-learning platform. The results revealed that with the conventional learning, some students were less motivated and creative, so it is necessary to provide learning materials that can encourage all students' active participation and writing creativity without exception . Besides, the students need a complete and systematic set of learning materials about the concept of opinion writing that allows them to customize the topics and ideas for writing opinions, along with lecturer guidance in understanding the concept of writing the opinions. Additionally, the materials should be able to help them deal with their difficulties in determining ideas and the title of the opinion essay.
