The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the management of sanitation facilities at the Tarutung soda water baths is still very poor and needs improvement to ensure environmental cleanliness. The environmental sanitation management techniques implemented by the management start from inadequate planning and maintenance, lack of provision of rubbish bins in the tourist area, lack of cleanliness in the bathroom area resulting in an unpleasant odor in the area near the bath, lack of a special room for changing clothes. for tourists, as well as food sanitation that still does not meet standard food sanitation requirements. Abstract

The implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) as an effort to control the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various sectors, including tourism. This study aims to analyze the effect of PPKM on tourists' interest in visiting the Salib Kasih Tarutung tourist destination. This study uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who have visited Salib Kasih Tarutung before and during the PPKM period. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a decrease in tourists' interest in visiting Salib Kasih Tarutung during the PPKM period. Factors such as mobility restrictions, concerns about virus transmission, and decreased income were the main causes of the decline in interest. However, some tourists still showed interest in visiting by paying attention to strict health protocols. This research provides important implications for tourist destination managers and related stakeholders to develop adaptive strategies in dealing with pandemic situations. It is important to increase tourism promotion that focuses on the safety and comfort of tourists, as well as provide facilities and services that comply with health protocols. In addition, collaboration between the government, tourist destination managers, and the local community is also needed to restore the tourism sector after PPKM.

Abstract

Online learning has become an essential part of higher education, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, its effectiveness in fostering student learning satisfaction needs further investigation, especially in the field of tourism which requires hands-on experience. This study aims to analyze the influence of online learning on the learning satisfaction of tourism students in Tarutung. The research employs a quantitative approach, involving tourism students in Tarutung as the sample. Data was collected through questionnaires that measure various aspects of online learning and learning satisfaction. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to identify the influence of online learning variables on learning satisfaction. The findings indicate that the quality of learning materials, interaction with lecturers, and technology support have a positive impact on student learning satisfaction. Students feel satisfied when the learning materials are relevant, lecturers are responsive, and technology supports the learning process. Conversely, limited social interaction and technical difficulties negatively affect learning satisfaction. Students feel less satisfied when interaction with peers is limited and they encounter technical difficulties in online learning. This study provides valuable insights for universities in Tarutung to enhance the quality of online learning in the field of tourism. Improving the quality of materials, lecturer-student interaction, and technology support can create a more satisfying learning experience. Additionally, it is necessary to seek solutions to increase social interaction and overcome technical difficulties in online learning. Abstract

Tarutung City, as the center of government and commerce in North Tapanuli Regency, faces environmental sanitation issues that contribute to the increase in mosquito populations. This study aims to analyze the condition of environmental sanitation and mosquito control efforts in Tarutung City. A descriptive-analytical approach was used to assess environmental cleanliness, the availability of sanitation facilities, and vector control programs implemented by the local government. The results of the study indicate that environmental sanitation in some areas remains inadequate, with many water storage sites found to be breeding grounds for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the primary cause of dengue fever. Control efforts, such as fogging and the elimination of mosquito breeding sites (PSN), have not been optimal due to the lack of community participation and awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. This study recommends enhancing public education programs, improving waste management, and conducting regular monitoring of high-risk areas to reduce mosquito populations and prevent disease spread. Strengthening cooperation between the government and the community is crucial to achieving a healthier environment free from mosquito threats
