Abstract

Modernization is the process of transforming traditional community life into modern life. Technological developments caused by modernization have a significant impact on human survival, especially on the phenomenon of the influence of modernization on economic development. This research analyzes and explores the influence of modernization on economic development in MSMEs of viral wonton food. Modernization in this context includes the use of digital technology, product innovation and modern marketing strategies. The results of this research show that the application of digital technology such as social media significantly increases product visibility and sales. Innovations in flavors and packaging also attract the attention of new consumers and retain customers. The development of technology due to modernization provides opportunities for MSMEs to innovate in their business activities. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomological approach. the data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

At this time, times are increasingly developing and experiencing rapid progress, so that the term "modernity" appears. Currently, what is really feared is "the methods or actions that need to be taken by young people in maintaining the values ​​or meaning contained in the seblang tradition" if you look at the increasingly advanced way of thinking and behavior of young people today. The seblang tradition originates from Banyuwangi, East Java, Olehsari Village, whose cultural community still upholds customs and social harmony. The seblang tradition is a dance performed to ward off evil or bad luck which is performed once a year, precisely on holidays. The method used in the research is qualitative research, namely using ethnography which explains the norms, traditions, values ​​and actions carried out in the Seblang dance. The seblang tradition has been passed down from generation to generation and is mandatory. If this tradition is not carried out within a year, one of the ancestral spirits will come to one of the residents and possess the resident to give a "sign" that the seblang haru tradition is being carried out. Apart from that, the existence of modernity poses a risk if it is forced into seblang traditions. Because the risk posed will dilute the meaning contained in the seblang tradition.

Abstract

Consumerism culture is generally defined as a mindset and lifestyle that emphasizes the consumption of goods and services as the main way to achieve satisfaction, identity, and social status. The phenomenon of consumption culture encompasses various aspects that reflect how the consumption of goods and services affects the lives of individuals and society as a whole. In this study, analyze and explore the factors of consumerism that drive the popularity of fast food among Generation Z, such as ease of access, social media influence, digital marketing strategies. The results showed that Generation Z considers fast food as a practical and economical option, and is influenced by trends or promoted virally by influencers and advertisements on digital platforms. So the results show that Generation Z tends to have consumption patterns that are driven by the need for identity and self-expression, and influenced by social media trends and influencers. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomological approach. Which data collection techniques taken by this study by observation, interviews, and documentation.
