Abstract

The advancement of Industry 4.0 demands production systems to operate more efficiently, adaptively, and securely in facing global challenges. One promising technology that addresses these needs is the Digital Twin (DT), a digital representation of physical systems that enables integration between the real and virtual environments. Through DT, production processes can be modeled, monitored, and tested in real time, allowing for evaluation and optimization before implementation in actual systems. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of DT in modeling automated industrial systems, particularly in relation to improving production efficiency, quality control, energy savings, and operational safety. The research employed an experimental approach based on simulation within a robotic production line consisting of machines, sensors, actuators, and conveyors. The research stages included identifying system components and workflows, developing a DT model that integrates physical and virtual layers with Internet of Things–based data connectivity, and conducting simulations representing diverse operational scenarios. The findings indicate that DT implementation enhances operational efficiency, reduces production errors, and optimizes energy utilization. Furthermore, DT proves effective in strengthening safety aspects by enabling early detection of potential disruptions and providing preventive recommendations before significant impacts occur. Compared to conventional simulations, DT offers a more realistic, adaptive, and relevant approach to the needs of modern industry. The implications of this study highlight DT’s strong potential to become a new standard in the development and control of automation-based production systems, driving the creation of smarter, more efficient, and sustainable industries.

Abstract

Drug abuse (Narcotics, Psychotropics, and other Addictive Substances) is a serious problem that can threaten the younger generation, especially in the Panggung Kidul Village area. The lack of public understanding, especially teenagers, regarding the dangers and negative impacts of drug abuse is one of the factors that influence the high risk of substance abuse. Therefore, innovative and interactive educational media are needed to increase public awareness and understanding regarding the prevention of drug abuse. This study offers a solution by designing and developing educational media based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a visual and interactive tool that conveys information in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner. The use of smartphones as the main device in AR applications makes this media more easily accessible to various groups of people. The test results using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method showed a user satisfaction level of 96% which is included in the Acceptable category. Thus, this AR-based educational media is expected to be an effective means of increasing public understanding of the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging early preventive efforts.

Abstract

The problem of repetitive work carried out by homeroom teachers when processing grades at school is the main problem experienced by every homeroom teacher at school. A good academic system is needed because it is able to minimize the work of the homeroom teacher. MTs Negeri 2 Semarang in processing value data reporting still uses the conventional method, namely by filling in the value leger. The teaching teacher fills the value data into the grade leger according to each subject. Then the homeroom teacher reported in the form of grades per subject. Then from the value data per subject the homeroom teacher must reprocess it into grades per student and print it. This will be a repetitive task if the homeroom teacher also serves as a teaching teacher. The report still uses copy and paste from flash to flash which has a very high risk of losing data. This is coupled with the school building which is divided into two buildings with a considerable distance between the old building and the new building which makes teaching teachers feel reluctant to report grades. To solve the existing problems, the authors propose a web-based value data administration system at MTs Negeri 2 Semarang which will make it easier for teachers to process and report value data. The program is expected to be able to deal with existing problems and ease the work of the homeroom teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia-based learning application designed to introduce letters, numbers, and colorful images to early childhood learners. The development model employed is the ADDIE model, which consists of five systematic phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis phase began with identifying field needs, followed by the design of learning media, development of a desktop-based application using Eclipse IDE and the Java programming language, and database integration using MySQL. The trial was conducted at TK PGRI Godong, involving 30 students as research subjects. Evaluation results indicate that the application has a positive impact on students’ understanding, with an overall average score of 93.3%. Validation by content experts (kindergarten teachers) yielded a feasibility score of 92%, while media experts gave a score of 88%. Classroom observations showed that students were more enthusiastic, focused, and better able to understand the material compared to conventional methods. Based on these findings, the learning application is deemed highly feasible and effective as a supporting medium in early childhood education.
