Abstract

The phenomena of trance and possession are events that occur in various cultures and traditions. In general, both phenomena are characterized by the loss of control of one's body or consciousness. However, views on the causes and treatment of both phenomena may vary between Western and Islamic Psychology perspectives. This study aims to compare Western and Islamic Psychology perspectives on the phenomena of trance and possession. From the Western perspective, the phenomenon is often explained as a medical or psychological condition that can be treated with scientific methods such as drugs and psychological therapies. Whereas in Islamic Psychology, the phenomenon is explained as a manifestation of supernatural powers that affect a person's mental state. This research combines a comparative qualitative and descriptive approach by analyzing literature related to the phenomena of trance and trance from both perspectives. The results show that although there are differences in views between the two perspectives, both recognize the influence of psychological factors in the occurrence of these phenomena. In addition, Islamic Psychology recognizes the existence of supernatural powers that influence the phenomenon of trance and trance-inducing, while the Western perspective tends to reject this view. In conclusion, this study provides an understanding of the differences in views between the Western perspective and Islamic Psychology regarding the phenomena of trance and possession. It also shows that although the views between the two perspectives may differ, they can complement each other and provide a more holistic understanding of the phenomenon.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the world of education. The learning process is usually carried out face-to-face, but during the Covid-19 pandemic, schools were required to follow government policies regulated by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Where the learning process is carried out in asynchronous learning, so that a teacher is highly demanded to be able to use interesting learning media, create a creative and innovative learning atmosphere so that students can understand learning material easily. Asynchronous is a learning system that is carried out delayed or indirectly, so that the teacher can only provide knowledge not in educating the student's character. However, students can easily access learning materials anytime and anywhere. This research was conducted aiming to describe the role of asynchronous in improving student achievement. This research uses quantitative methods using survey models, google forms and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that student achievement will increase if these students are able to make good use of the asynchronous system in the learning process. The limitation of this study is that researchers have difficulty knowing student learning progress by using an asynchronous system in improving student achievement. Therefore, it is hoped that future researchers will be more thorough in reviewing student achievement using an asynchronous system.

Abstract

Geometry is a sub-matter that exists in mathematics related to everyday life. The existence of an understanding related to geometry material has a positive impact on increasing spatial abilities from various points of view. The ability to see geometric shapes from various perspectives is related to rotation and rotational symmetry. Studying rotational symmetry and how rotation affects its appearance and geometric properties will help deepen your understanding of the overall geometric shape. The purpose of this study is to provide a description of the views to prove the level of rotational symmetry in geometric 3D shapes by considering the description of the advantages and disadvantages of using geogebra and manipulative application media which are adapted to their respective characteristics. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The instruments used were observation sheets and interview sheets. The data analysis technique used is data triangulation. The research results obtained are proving the degree of rotational symmetry in geometric shapes which have 1) the advantages of using geogebra: it does not take long to prove, it is flexible regarding geometric dimensions and the determination of the symmetry axis, does not take up space/practical, is available in the form of applications and online websites 2 ) Weaknesses of using GeoGebra: having to use a PC/laptop, the ability of GeoGebra users to use it is the main variable, limitations on PC/laptop, or internet performance, 3) advantages of using manipulative media: easier and more real in observing the degree of rotational symmetry, display at each level the degree of rotational symmetry can be marked to facilitate calculations, 4) the weakness of using manipulative media: it takes time to make manipulative media, the media requires an appropriate size for practice, inflexibility regarding the size and placement of the axis of symmetry.

Abstract

English structure is one of the most difficult parts of learning grammar. This is because students also have to know when to use it. When students already know the structure of English, it will be easier to master grammar. The easiest way to test students' grammar is by using the quillbot application. However, researchers using the quillbot application are still limited and know little about how students perceive it. This study aims to improve students' grammar skills by using quillbot application to check their grammar writing. The researcher used quantitative method and survey design, and to collect information the researcher used questionnaire. This study was conducted at University in Asia by taking a sample of 35 students majoring in English Department. The findings revealed that these students expressed some positive responses. Some students already know that this quillbot application can be relied upon to check students' grammar writing and make students easier and more practical in checking grammar so that it is free from grammatical errors. Therefore, the researcher said that the use of quillbot application is useful to improve students' grammar skills.

Abstract

Background. This socialization aims to find out how to manage finances more effectively and efficiently to increase the awareness and ability of female students to manage finances which will later be able to motivate and familiarize them with being able to live independently in meeting their daily needs at the Luqman Hakim Islamic boarding school. Purpose. Financial management is the most important element in achieving financial success. Financial problems should not be taken lightly, for this reason, it is necessary to socialize the importance of financial management for students so that finances can be used more effectively and efficiently. Method. This study used a qualitative method based on the results of direct field observations. Results. This assistance socialization resulted in the conclusion that each female student was able to make realistic financial plans, manage expenses, and maintain discipline in following these plans. Conclusion. This also applies to the female students of the Luqman Hakim Rowolaku Islamic boarding school so that financial problems do not become a burden in the process of seeking knowledge so that they focus on learning to accept the knowledge being taught. They are also able to avoid unnecessary expenses and improve their ability to manage money wisely. They can internalize and apply the taught financial management principles, as well as experience positive changes in the management of their finances. This shows that this assistance is effective in helping female students build financial stability and financial independence.
