Abstract

This research discusses efforts to improve the learning outcomes of the subject Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBDP) by utilizing the school environment at SD Negeri 13 Kota Pagaralam. The approach used in this study is descriptive and qualitative. Data collection methods include documentation, observation related to the improvement of learning outcomes in SBdP by utilizing the school environment, and interviews conducted with SBdP teachers about the learning process utilizing the environment, the principal about his role as a leader in managing the educational process at school, and students related to the learning process they undergo in the SBdP subject. The sequential data collection process, data presentation, data verification, and conclusion drawing are part of the data analysis techniques used. The researcher used triangulation techniques, namely time, method, and source triangulation, to ensure data accuracy. Based on the results and discussion, the efforts made in the SBdP learning process at SD Negeri 13 have not been successfully implemented, particularly in grade IV. The teaching methods used by the teachers are still monotonous and tend to be very boring, indicating that the efforts to improve SBDP learning outcomes by utilizing the school environment still require much evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of ice breaking techniques in enhancing students' learning motivation in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject for Grade VII at MTsN 1 Pagar Alam City, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in applying these methods. The background of this research is based on the low learning motivation of students in SKI lessons, which are often perceived as boring and unengaging. The methodology employed is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with samples selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study indicate that the use of ice breaking during the learning process increases students' enthusiasm, activeness, and attention throughout the teaching and learning activities. The ice breaking activities used include educational games, motivational chants, and light activities relevant to the subject matter. The conclusion of this research is that ice breaking is an effective strategy for improving students' motivation in learning SKI, particularly in Grade VII of MTsN 1 Pagar Alam City.

Abstract

The Curriculum in Indonesia has undergone several changes, with the last Curriculum, K13, now changing to the current famous Curriculum, the Merdeka Learning Curriculum (Rahman et al., 2023). To understand the types of competencies needed by PAI teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum and To find out what programs are organized by schools to improve the competence of PA teachers at SMAN 1 Jarai and Identify the challenges faced by schools in developing PAI teacher competencies in implementing the Independent Curriculum at SMAN 1 Jarai. The type of research that researchers use is qualitative research, and in this study, they use a descriptive approach to analysis. The school's efforts in shaping the competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in high schools are essential to ensuring high-quality teaching is relevant to student needs. Overall, the competency building of PAI teachers in high schools requires a coordinated and ongoing effort involving training, facility support, professional collaboration, periodic evaluations, and supportive leadership. With this approach, PAI teachers can be more effective in teaching, inspiring students, and supporting the development of students' character and spirituality through Islamic religious values.

Abstract

The morals of students can be influenced by the surrounding environment. Local culture can also play an important role in shaping children's behavior and morals. Because a person's morals can be influenced by local cultural, environmental, and educational factors. It is important to understand and appreciate this diversity in an effort to improve character education throughout the region. In some areas such as the Pagar Alam area as we know the people in this area are very known for their friendliness even though the tone of speech in the Sumatra area is known for a speech style that sounds harsh if heard by others but in fact it is not. The purpose of this study is to know the moral problems of students when participating in the learning process and to know solutions in overcoming the moral problems of students in following the learning process of Islamic Religious Education. This kind of research. Qualitative research The approach used by researchers is a qualitative descriptive approach Data collection techniques used and to support the author's research data using interview guidelines, observation guidelines and documentation. There are students who do not want to be reprimanded or given directions, so the teacher will not force the child but the teacher there will still do or give punishment if the student violates the rules.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi cara meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Quran serta memahami kendala yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik dalam memperbaiki kemampuan tersebut di SMP Negeri 1 Kota Pagar Alam. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif (Field Research). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sebagian besar peserta didik telah mengenal keutamaan membaca Al-Quran, namun pengetahuan tersebut masih perlu diperkaya lagi. Selain itu, adab dalam membaca Al-Quran umumnya telah diketahui oleh peserta didik, tetapi informasi yang dimiliki masih belum lengkap dan memerlukan penambahan. Dalam aspek ilmu tajwid, pengetahuan teoretis peserta didik berada pada kategori cukup, tetapi masih harus ditingkatkan, terutama pengetahuan mengenai hukum mad, idgham, ikhfa, dan lainnya.
