Abstract

Flood is one of the annual disasters in many places. It has not been well-managed yet both pre-disaster and post-disaster. Image processing and machine learning are commonly utilized for disaster management systems such as forecasting any potential flood by monitoring the water level in rivers and dams. However, it has a limited framework to be implemented as a strategic plan in flood management. Thus, this study aims to develop a framework for image processing and machine learning utilization for flood management. This study involves Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia as a sample. It was conducted in three stages; 1) categorize the strategic plans and policies; 2) gather relevant literature; 3) analyze data. As findings, this study proposes a framework consisting of enhanced disaster preparedness, improved coping capacity, and completion of post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation. Involvement of the government, researchers and industry are mandatory. Government and researchers should collaborate to establish policies and regulations. Researchers should conduct studies with financial support from the industry. Meanwhile, the industry should be a public-private partnership with the government. In addition, the involvement of the private sector and the government are important factors that must exist to support research in this field.

Abstract

Container rental service companies or container parking facilities providers need container transportation equipment such as Crane Reach Stalker to move and arrange containers. Several container services companies in Surabaya such as Citra Mandiri Sejati have a Crane Reach Stalker made by Ferari Italy which experienced damage to the electrical control. After observing the control unit, the damage was in the hardware comparison system and the relay control used. Dealing with these problems, planning and improvement of the total control system were carried out using the ATMega2560 AVR microcontroller. However, the problem becomes complex and requires cooperation with Hydraulic control partners when the entire system must be resolved. From the renovation work on the Ferari 178H1 Load Handling Crane system for a year, it was obtained that the Load Handling control input data in which it was a joystick and a 3 positions button with an output level of 0 and 9 volts. Hydraulic control uses a Solenoid Valve type 4/3 with 2 input control coils, and in overall system testing, the average length of time for the movement of the Piston Crane is 6 to 12 seconds. From the test results using a 40 tons container load, it was stated by the Crane driver that the time used to carry out Load Handling for the Hydraulic type and the Crane's age was suitable and appropriate.

Abstract

A handover strategy is required to ensure connection continuity for cellular network users due to user mobility. Handovers on the same frequency (intra-frequency) and handovers on other frequencies (inter-frequencies) are conceivable in the Intra Radio Access Technology network. The network must be able to give the best quality and optimal bandwidth so that consumers can keep their connection. Most cells have more than one bandwidth channel. A test was performed in this study to determine the influence of priority handover on intra-frequency LTE handover on signal strength and throughput. This study is based on actual measurement findings from the deployed 4G LTE network transceiver device, which contains several carriers for each eNodeB. TEMS Pocket, a mobile gadget, was used to collect data for measurements. For analysis purposes, the parameters RSRP, throughput, frequency band, serving cell identification or PCI (Physical Cell Identity), and event handover are employed. In the inter-frequency LTE handover, there are two priority handovers: handovers from lower bands to higher bands (high priority) and handovers from higher bands to lower bands (low priority). When a low-priority handover happens, the RSRP value and throughput increase, while a high-priority handover causes the RSRP value to decrease.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve photo and video editing skills as well as promote village potential through visual media for Karang Taruna Limau Manis. Mitra, a social organization in Limau Manis village, faced problems in technical editing skills and a lack of interesting visual content to promote their village. The solution offered is through intensive training using the CapCut and Lightroom mobile applications, as well as guidance in developing creative ideas for visual content. The benefit is an increase in the skills of Karang Taruna members, which will enable them to produce high-quality visual content that can increase the promotion of village potential. The expected output includes scientific publications, mass media publications, and publications on the Karang Taruna Limau Manis YouTube channel to expand promotional reach.ABSTRAKKegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengeditan foto dan video serta promosi potensi desa melalui media visual bagi Karang Taruna Limau Manis. Mitra, sebuah organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan di desa Limau Manis, menghadapi permasalahan dalam keterampilan teknis pengeditan dan kurangnya konten visual menarik untuk mempromosikan desa mereka. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah melalui pelatihan intensif menggunakan aplikasi mobile CapCut dan Lightroom, serta pembimbingan dalam mengembangkan ide-ide kreatif untuk konten visual. Manfaatnya adalah peningkatan keterampilan anggota Karang Taruna, yang akan memungkinkan mereka untuk memproduksi konten visual berkualitas tinggi yang dapat meningkatkan promosi potensi desa. Luaran yang diharapkan mencakup publikasi ilmiah, publikasi media masa, dan publikasi di saluran YouTube Karang Taruna Limau Manis untuk memperluas jangkauan promosi.

Abstract

Amazon web services (aws) merupakan platform komputasi awan yang disediakan oleh amazon. Docker adalah platform open-source yang memungkinkan pengembang untuk mengotomatisasi penyebaran aplikasi dalam container. Container merupakan teknologi virtualisasi terbaru, dengan container memudahkan sistem administrator dalam mengelola aplikasi pada server. Docker container dapat digunakan untuk membangun, mempersiapkan, dan menjalankan aplikasi. Internet of things (iot) adalah konsep di mana perangkat fisik yang dilengkapi dengan sensor, perangkat lunak, dan teknologi lainnya terhubung ke internet dan saling bertukar data. Teknologi iot merupakan teknologi yang marak digunakan dalam pembuatan suatu sistem termasuk sistem pengolahan pupuk dari kotoran ternak. Kurang efektifnya pengolahan pupuk dari kotoran ternak pada saat ini menyebabkan masalah bagi lingkungan. Pemanfaatan kotoran ternak dengan sistem iot merupakan salah satu solusi dalam meningkatkan produktivitas peternakan serta mengurangi dampak negatif limbah ternak terhadap lingkungan.
