Abstract

Abstrac – Lighting installation is very necessary in designing a building. The amount oflight intensity on each room is different depending on the us ability of the room it self. Simple Additive weighting (SAW) method could be used in selecting the right lamp. The greater the value of alternative earn edit the better alternative. Based on this SAW method, it is advisable touse lights that are LED with the highest on value of 9.66, then the TL lamps with a criteria on value of 6.93.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 telah membawa dampak cukup besar terhadap proses belajar mengajar di Indonesia. Kondisi pandemi mengharuskan sistem pembelajaran beralih dari metode tatap muka menjadi metode online. Berdasarkan kondisi di atas, artikel berikut membahas tentang salah satu teknik pengajaran yang digunakan dalam kelas daring speaking di Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP), yaitu dengan menggunakan media poster digital. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan media poster digital tersebut dalam pembelajaran daring terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa di PNP. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PNP yang mengambil mata kuliah Speaking practice. Penelitian berbentuk deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilakukan dalam 4 tahap yaitu; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan evaluasi. Dalam perencanaan, bahan ajar dirancang berdasarkan metode poster comment. Rubrik penilaian yang digunakan terdiri dari kelancaran (fluency), akurasi (accuracy), kejelasan (clarity), intonasi (intonation), volume, dan konten (content). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa mengalami peningkatan yang baik untuk semua aspek penilaian. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh dari penerapan media poster dalam proses pembelajaran memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa dan juga menciptakan atmosfir belajar yang lebih interaktif selama masa pembelajaran daring.Abstract: Covid-19 Pandemic has created a big impact toward educational learning process in Indonesia. Due to that fact, this article discusses about one of the teaching techniques which is used in an online speaking class at Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP).  This article describes the implementation effect of digital poster media toward the student’s speaking skill at PNP.  The participants of this research are PNP students who take speaking practice subject. The research is a descriptive quantitative study and its done through 4 steps; planning, implementing, observing and evaluating. In planning, the teaching materials are designed based on the poster comment method. The scoring rubric for the speaking assessment consists of fluency, accuracy, clarity, intonation, volume, and content. The results shows that students skill are well raised in all aspects. Thus, it can be concluded that implementation of poster as teaching media gives positive impact to the students’ speaking ability and it creates more interactive learning atmosphere during the online learning hours.

Abstract

Flood is one of the annual disasters in many places. It has not been well-managed yet both pre-disaster and post-disaster. Image processing and machine learning are commonly utilized for disaster management systems such as forecasting any potential flood by monitoring the water level in rivers and dams. However, it has a limited framework to be implemented as a strategic plan in flood management. Thus, this study aims to develop a framework for image processing and machine learning utilization for flood management. This study involves Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia as a sample. It was conducted in three stages; 1) categorize the strategic plans and policies; 2) gather relevant literature; 3) analyze data. As findings, this study proposes a framework consisting of enhanced disaster preparedness, improved coping capacity, and completion of post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation. Involvement of the government, researchers and industry are mandatory. Government and researchers should collaborate to establish policies and regulations. Researchers should conduct studies with financial support from the industry. Meanwhile, the industry should be a public-private partnership with the government. In addition, the involvement of the private sector and the government are important factors that must exist to support research in this field.

Abstract

The spread of the virus caused by SARS-CoV-2 has been designated as an extraordinary event so that the government to speed up the collection and management of this disease then appoints several hospitals that serve as referral hospitals for people who want to check themselves. One of the hospitals used as a reference by the government in West Sumatra is Andalas University hospital. In just one day, the hospital received thousands of samples for examination. The number of samples to be examined and the limited number of administrations that conduct data collection results in the length of the sample collection process. This article aims to design and implement an information system in the data collection of Swab Covid-19 using waterfall model system development methods. The requirement testing model is used for testing a web-based Covid 19 swab data information system whether it is in accordance with system users' needs analysis and design.

Abstract

The mere presence of CCTV cameras can prevent crime by making people think about committing delinquent and criminal acts. This is because they are being watched and their actions can be used as evidence in the form of movement. Recorded videos can provide important details about events, timelines, and parties involved from both internal and external sides. One of the target victims is women.  Because women are more vulnerable to acts of violence. One of the community groups for crime prevention is the girls' orphanage. Because all administrators and residents are women. The area on the riverside road is a vulnerable area because it is quiet, especially at night, which is an opportunity to commit crime. For this reason, security is carried out by installing CCTV devices. This training is carried out through the introduction of CCTV-DVR device technology, coaxial cable installation, and configuration of control and storage devices on the DVR. The use of DVR is in addition to cheap cable materials, and maintenance does not require special devices. The success of this training aims to be independent in security monitoring and can repair the device itself if there is a problem, as well as job training. ABSTRAKKehadiran kamera CCTV saja sudah bisa mencegah kejahatan dengan membuat orang berpikir untuk melakukan tindakan kenakalan dan kriminal. Ini karena mereka mereka telah diawasi dan tindakan mereka dapat dijadikan bukti dalam bentuk pergerakan. Video yang direkam dapat memberikan rincian penting tentang peristiwa, jadwal, dan pihak yang terlibat dari sisi internal dan eksternal. Salah satu target korban adalah perempuan.  Karena perempuan lebih rentan terhadap tindakan kekereasan. Salah satu kelompok masyarakat untuk pencegahan tindakan kejahatan adalah panti asuhan putri. Dikarenakan semua pengurus dan penghuni adalah perempuan. Daerah di jalan tepi sungai kawasan rawan dikarenakan sepi terutama malam hari yang merupakan kesempatan untuk melakukan aksi kejahatan. Untuk itu dilakukan pengamanan dengan melakukan pemasangan perangkat CCTV. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan melalui t\pengenalan teknologi perangkat CCTV-DVR, instalasi kabel coaxial, dan  konfigurasi perangkat kendali dan penyimpanan pada DVR. Penggunaan DVR selain bahan kabel yang murah, serta pemeliharaan tidak membutuhkan perangkat khusus. Keberhasilan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mandiri dalam monitoring keamanan dan dapat memperbaiki sendiri perangkat tersebut jika ada masalah, serta pembekalan kerja.

Abstract

Bioinformatics has developed into an application tool for basic and applied research in the biomedical and biotechnology field. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a common technique in the molecular area that has always involved bioinformatics science. PCR cloning techniques such as TA cloning and PCR-mediated cloning exhibit complex processes with low success rates. One easy, effective, and practical solution is to use a mega-primer with the Overlap Extension PCR Cloning (OEPC) technique. The success of PCR cloning using the mega-primer design in the OEPC technique is strongly influenced by the characteristics of the mega-primer used. Knowledge of mega-primer characteristics is one of the important factors in the success of PCR cloning. The design process for the mega-primer str promoter was characterized based on the principle of a genetic algorithm using the web-based bioinformatics tools such as ClustalW, NetPrimer, and BLAST. The success of the mega-primer construction in producing recombinant pSB1C3 vector has been confirmed by the sequencing method and the function of the reporting protein (AmilCP). DNA analysis shows a 100 % homologous sequence on the str promoter, while  E. coli colonies successfully express the purplish-blue color. Mega-primer characters can save costs and time of the research by maintaining the primer parameters that provide optimal values and increase the success value of PCR cloning via bioinformatics software. Hence, implications on biological problems, especially using DNA and amino acid sequences, could solve rapidly.
