Abstract

Flood is one of the annual disasters in many places. It has not been well-managed yet both pre-disaster and post-disaster. Image processing and machine learning are commonly utilized for disaster management systems such as forecasting any potential flood by monitoring the water level in rivers and dams. However, it has a limited framework to be implemented as a strategic plan in flood management. Thus, this study aims to develop a framework for image processing and machine learning utilization for flood management. This study involves Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia as a sample. It was conducted in three stages; 1) categorize the strategic plans and policies; 2) gather relevant literature; 3) analyze data. As findings, this study proposes a framework consisting of enhanced disaster preparedness, improved coping capacity, and completion of post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation. Involvement of the government, researchers and industry are mandatory. Government and researchers should collaborate to establish policies and regulations. Researchers should conduct studies with financial support from the industry. Meanwhile, the industry should be a public-private partnership with the government. In addition, the involvement of the private sector and the government are important factors that must exist to support research in this field.

Abstract

Peningkatan kemampuan kerja sama dalam tim berbasis proyek merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia industri di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. GitHub, sebagai platform kolaboratif berbasis version control, menawarkan solusi untuk mengelola proyek dan mendukung kolaborasi tim secara efektif. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan melatih siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Koto XI Tarusan dalam menggunakan GitHub untuk pengelolaan proyek berbasis kolaborasi. Melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek, siswa belajar langsung menggunakan fitur-fitur GitHub seperti repository management, branching, dan pull requests untuk menyelesaikan proyek dalam tim. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 88% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dalam penggunaan GitHub, dan 92% siswa menyatakan keterampilan teamwork mereka meningkat secara signifikan. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesiapan siswa SMK dalam menghadapi dunia kerja yang semakin digital dan kolaboratif.

Abstract

Jurnal ini mendokumentasikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan aplikasi Microsoft To Do kepada mitra ibu-ibu pekerja di Perumahan Karya Mulya. Kegiatan ini berfokus pada pemanfaatan fitur-fitur aplikasi tersebut dalam mempermudah manajemen tugas sehari-hari. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mencatat respon positif dan antusiasme peserta dalam menjelajahi beragam fitur yang ditawarkan oleh aplikasi tersebut. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah mendorong pencapaian work-life balance bagi para ibu pekerja, dengan memberikan alat yang efektif untuk mengatur tugas-tugas mereka. Melalui pendekatan praktis dan pelatihan langsung, para peserta diarahkan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan Microsoft To Do, mengurangi stres, serta mengalokasikan waktu secara lebih efisien antara tanggung jawab sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan tuntutan pekerjaan. Jurnal ini menyajikan gambaran tentang implementasi kegiatan pengenalan Microsoft To Do, merinci reaksi positif dari peserta, dan menggarisbawahi dampak yang diharapkan dalam mendukung keseimbangan hidup para ibu pekerja di lingkungan Perumahan Karya Mulya. Dengan demikian, jurnal ini memberikan wawasan tentang upaya nyata dalam memfasilitasi peningkatan produktivitas dan kualitas hidup para ibu yang menjalani peran ganda sebagai anggota keluarga dan pekerja.

Abstract

Students of the Software Engineering Technology Study Program, Department of Information Technology, Politeknik Negeri Padang, is required to compile a final project to complete their study period. In the implementation of the final project, several parties have involved such as the KBK team whose job is to check whether the proposed title is appropriate or not. The main issue undertaken by KBK is whether the title submitted has been used or not. The method used by KBK in checking the availability of titles was by looking at the titles of the final projects that have been submitted by previous students. The examination process carried out by the KBK, it took a long time. By utilizing the Cosine Similarity algorithm and TF-IDF, it is expected that it will make it easier for KBK to check the availability of final project titles. Cosine similarity is a method used to calculate the degree of similarity between 2 or more documents. While the TF-IDF Algorithm is a method used to weight a word in a document. The object of testing in this study was the title of the student’s final project. The process of calculating the level of similarity of documents started from the preprocessing stage, then proceeds with weighting using TF-IDF and calculating the level of similarity used the Cosine Similarity algorithm. The final result found that system could calculate the degree of similarity of the title of the student’s final project. From the results of testing the process of calculating the degree of similarity of titles using the cosine similarity algorithm can be undertaken quickly.

Abstract

Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) is a method that is able to solve problems with multi criteria. In the evaluation of the final project guidance process students of applied software engineering technology are intended to identify supporting factors as well as obstacles for students in completing the final project. Used several criteria such as liveliness of guidance, guidance response, how to communicate, mastery of materials, problem solving and report writing. The problem in determining the cause of the hampered completion of the final project is the lack of tools that can help in processing the criteria data. The solution is to utilize the SMART method with multi criteria problem solving as a tool in decision making. With the utilization of this method is expected to provide solutions in evaluating the guidance process so that the results can be accepted by all students objectively. With the decision support system model, it is expected to be able to know the problem factor in completing the final project so as to help in the implementation of the final project in the next period.

Abstract

SMA 1 V Koto Timur merupakan salah satu SMA Negeri yang berada di Kecamatan V Koto Timur Kabupaten Padang Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Selama pandemik covid 19, SMA 1 V Koto Timur melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan mengkombinasikan pembelajaran langsung dengan pembelajaran dalam jaringan(daring /online). Pembuatan media pembelajaran yang menarik sangat dibutuhkan untuk membuat ketertarikan siswa dalam mempelajarinya sehingga target pembelajaran dapat dicapai walaupun dilakukan secara tidak langsung. Permasalahan yang dihadapi sekarang adalah minimnya pengetahuan mengenai aplikasi-aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu pembuatan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang diadakan berupa kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan canva untuk pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif dan komunikatif menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Kegiatan berlangsung sukses ditandai dengan meningkatnya pemahaman mereka mengenai penggunaan aplikasi Canva dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran yang interaktif.

Abstract

MDM is a trade cooperative business unit that supplies healthy food options for consumers around the Andalas University campus. So far, the selection of suppliers that provide supply goods to the stores is only based on the trust between both parties, which is the principle of mutual acquaintance and kinship. The problems that may arise from a process like this are the lack of the right supplier, unavailability of goods, relatively higher product prices, late delivery, and low-quality goods. Therefore, we need a GDSS that is capable of overcoming these problems. This GDSS helps in decision-making by determining the right supplier for each of the stores owned by the MDM Cooperative. The methods used are AHP, TOPSIS, and BORDA, involving six criteria and five tested alternatives. The AHP method is used to obtain the weight of each criterion taken from the pairwise comparison matrix. The TOPSIS method is used to determine which suppliers get priority for supply goods. Combining the AHP and TOPSIS methods can reduce the weaknesses of the TOPSIS itself by giving subjective weights. The use of the BORDA method can provide maximum results in selecting this supplier. This GDSS also involves three decision-making bodies: the head of the cooperative, the deputy, and the treasurer. The results of this prototype can show the best alternative selected based on the ranking method.

Abstract

Cooperatives are one of the business units which purpose is to help the economy of small and medium-sized communities. One of the cooperatives in the city of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia is KPN Kapur Warna. The routine business unit managed by KPN Kapur Warna is for savings and loans. So far, the savings and loan process is still done manually, including determining the eligibility of members to receive loans. Determination of the eligibility of members is carried out less objectively, by only looking at the profile of participants in general and the decision-making process is only carried out by one person, namely the chairman of the cooperative. The process that has been carried out so far has often resulted in wrong targets, namely providing loans to members who are not appropriate, resulting in bad credit or delays in paying monthly installments of participants. Therefore, we need a group decision support system that can help solve the above problems. In this study, a group decision support system was made using the AHP, TOPSIS and BORDA methods using five main criteria. The AHP method is used to determine the priority value for each criterion and the TOPSIS method is used to rank each alternative. Each decision maker performs the same process with the two methods, and then voting is carried out using the BORDA method of combining assessments for different decision makers. This study succeeded in providing a reference in determining the eligibility of which members are entitled to receive loans from cooperatives, with results that are more subjective and can help cooperatives in their work efficiently.

Abstract

Fuzzy Mamdani has been mostly used in various disciplines of science. Its ability to map the input-output in the form of a surface becomes an interesting thing. This research took DSS case of a scholarship grantee. Many criteria in taking a decision need to be simplified so that the result obtained remains intuitive. The model completion by conducting two stages consisted of two phases. The first phase consists of four FIS blocks. The second phase consists of one FIS block. The FIS design in the first phase was designed in such a way so that the output obtained has a big score interval. FIS output at the first phase will become FIS input at the second phase. This big value range becomes good input at FIS in the second phase. Each FIS block has different total input. Until the surface formed must be seen from various dimensions to assure trend surface increasing or decreasing softly. This kind of thing is conducted by observing the movement of output dots kept for its soft surface form. The output dots change influenced by the membership function, the regulations used, total fuzzy set, and parameter value of membership function. This research used the Gaussian membership function. The Gaussian membership function is highly suitable for this DSS case. This article also explains the usage of a fuzzy set in each input, the parameter from the membership function, and the input value range. After observing the surface form with an intuitive approach, then this model needs to be evaluated. The evaluation was done to measure the model performance using Confusion Matrix. The result of model performance obtained accuracy in the amount of 85%.
