Abstract

SMA N 1 Padang, sebuah institusi pendidikan penting di Sumatera Barat, memegang peran krusial dalam membekali siswa dengan keterampilan akademis yang mendasar. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah, diperkenalkan inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada keterampilan bibliografi, dengan menggunakan Mendeley yang merupakan sebuah perangkat lunak manajemen referensi yang dikembangkan oleh Elsevier, dirancang untuk membantu peneliti, sarjana, dan siswa dalam mengorganisir riset, berkolaborasi, dan tetap terkini dengan publikasi akademis. Menyadari peran penting komposisi karya ilmiah yang terampil dalam pendidikan tinggi dan penelitian, inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengevaluasi keberlanjutan dan dampak pelatihan bibliografi di SMA N 1 Padang. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner menjalani analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif, memberikan pemahaman komprehensif terhadap pandangan peserta. Temuan utama menyoroti dukungan kuat peserta 95% terhadap keberlanjutan dan manfaat materi pelatihan, menekankan peran krusialnya dalam mendukung pendidikan tinggi dan penelitian. Pengabdian masyarakat di SMA N 1 Padang efektif meningkatkan kompetensi dalam menulis karya ilmiah, khususnya melalui pelatihan bibliografi. Peserta menyatakan niat untuk menerapkan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian dan pendidikan tinggi, menegaskan urgensi melibatkan siswa dalam kegiatan serupa untuk memperkaya keterampilan akademis. PKM ini berkontribusi pada penyempurnaan strategi pengajaran, peningkatan literasi akademis di tingkat sekolah menengah atas, dan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan di pendidikan tinggi dan penelitian. Sebagai kesimpulan, pelatihan bibliografi muncul sebagai aset vital dalam membentuk generasi siswa yang mahir dalam menulis karya ilmiah.

Abstract

Job vacancies are information that is really needed by many people with a very fast update rate, because it is related to the acceptance deadline. Speed of information and suitability of abilities are basic criteria in the job search process when applying for jobs. However, the distribution of this information is quite difficult to obtain when you have to look for the source of the information in certain places first. For this reason, a solution is needed to simplify these difficulties. The software development methodology used in the system development process is the waterfall methodology. In this methodology, several steps are taken to build software, namely software engineering, system analysis, system design, system implementation, system testing. By carrying out stages based on the methodology, it is hoped that the application will be built according to needs and can be used by consumers. The Job Seeker Application is an application that can help disseminate job vacancy information for job seekers and employers to assist the job application process directly for job seekers.

Abstract

The development of technology-based tourism is a strategic step to increase the competitiveness of local destinations, such as Puncak Labuang in Nagari Limau Manis. This community service activity aims to increase the visibility and accessibility of Puncak Labuang tourism information by developing the visit.limaumanis.id website. The methods used include identifying needs, designing, developing systems, testing functionality, and training representatives of the Limau Manis Community Empowerment Forum (FPM). The activity results show that users consider this website easy to use and valuable. The training provided improves the ability of FPM representatives to manage and update content independently. A post-training survey revealed that 90% of participants felt more confident operating the website, and 88% considered the interface easy to understand. This implementation is expected to support the promotion of local tourism effectively and sustainably, which positively impacts the economy and welfare of the local community. This program shows the importance of synergy between technology and society for developing local potential.

Abstract

This research is part of the knowledge and skills of the S.O.S Scheduled Oil Sampling program conducted inPreventive Maintenance practical course in the distribution curriculum of D3 Heavy Equipment Engineering Study Program of Padang State Polytechnic[9]. Laboratory S.O.S Oil is a labor that could see the characteristics of the final drive oil completely, that the quality of the oil used to lubricate the system in final drive can be known as the condition of final drive. Data from S.O.S Oil Laboratory can be used as a reference in conducting in-depth analysis by engineer related to the condition of machine’s final drive. If the condition of the final drive can be known due the operation, it will ease the heavy equipment technicians to perform Preventive Maintenance. The writer’s current research will focus first on the analysis of oil quality defilement caused by wear of the components of final drive. The inner components of the final drive which streamed by lubricant are highly could cause wear and tear by friction between the materials operating in the   final drive’s working system[5]. The oil on the final drive has specifications or properties that would affect final drive performance. The oli used in final drives uses single gread oils such as S.A.E 50, which are applied to final drives of   eleven-ton excavators[6]. The wear of components in the final drive will be seen from the quality of the final drive oil, if the wear occurs is greater, the  work of anti-wear  additives on the oil  is begins to decrease that there must be a solution and analysis obtained. Test results will be obtained based on test data from the S.O.S.  Laboratory.  The Laravel framework with Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture is used to create this website for visualization the result.

Abstract

Abstract: This system for predicting volcanic eruptions will produce information that can help BMKG in making decisions to provide warnings to residents around the mountain. This will also help in mitigating volcanic eruptions, evacuating residents in volcanic eruptions. By using artificial neural networks with the backpropagation method, it can be used to predict volcanic eruptions. To conduct this test, criteria and factors that influence this volcanic eruption are needed. This method is tested using Matlab 6.1 software. In this test, various patterns will be carried out to compare the results of the network. From the various patterns tested, it can be seen that the number of epochs used affects the test results and will achieve the desired goal. The more epochs used, the faster the goal will be achieved. Where in the 4-2-1 pattern the goal was found in the 7th epoch with an error value of 0.0987135. This 4-2-1 pattern states that this network is tested with 4 input layers, 2 hidden layers and 1 output layer. The α value (α = learning rate) used is the Default value of 0.1. With this backpropagation method, you get more accurate results by getting smaller error values.            Keywords: backpropagation, matlab 6.1, layer, epoch, goal Abstrak: Sistem untuk memprediksi gunung meletus ini akan menghasilkan informasi yang bisa membantu BMKG dalam mengambil keputusan untuk memberikan peringatan kepada warga sekitar gunung. Hal ini juga akan membantu dalam mitigasi bencana gunung meletus , evakuasi warga sekitar dalam bencana gunung meletus. Dengan menggunakan jaringan saraf tiruan dengan metode backpropagation bisa digunakan untuk memprediksi gunung meletus. Untuk melakukan pengujian ini dibutuhkan kriteria dan faktor yang mempengaruhi gunung meletus ini. Metode ini diuji dengan menggunakan software Matlab 6.1. Pada pengujian ini akan dilakukan dengan berbagai pola untuk membandingkan hasil dari jaringan tersebut. Abstract

Conventional physics laboratories often suffer from limitations in terms of equipment availability and safety, which hinders optimal learning of collision dynamics concepts. This research aims to develop a virtual laboratory based on collision algorithm to simulate perfect collision as an alternative solution in physics learning. The development uses the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The collision algorithm was implemented using ActionScript 3, with interpolation allowing for more accurate collision detection at high speeds. The validation results show that the simulation is in line with the law of conservation of momentum and kinetic energy and is consistent with analytical solutions from MATLAB and Python. Functionality testing was conducted by 20 students, and the results showed that the use of this virtual laboratory significantly improved their concept understanding, with the average improvement ranging from 24% to 56%. Students also reported that this virtual laboratory is more interactive and interesting, thus increasing their learning motivation. The conclusion of this study is that the collision algorithm-based virtual laboratory is effective as a physics learning media and can be adopted more widely in technology-based education, especially to understand complex physics concepts more deeply.

Abstract

Tim pengabdian Politeknik Negeri Padang bekerja sama dengan Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN) Lasi di Nagari Lasi, Kecamatan Canduang, Kabupaten Agam, melaksanakan program pelestarian budaya melalui digitalisasi tulisan adat. Aktivitas ini mengubah karya tulis adat yang sebelumnya berbentuk cetak menjadi e-book interaktif, memadukan tradisi dan teknologi modern agar warisan budaya dapat diakses dengan lebih mudah dan menarik. Sebanyak 15 dokumen adat berhasil didigitalisasikan dalam program ini sebagai langkah konkret pelestarian dan dokumentasi budaya lokal. Selain itu, dilaksanakan pula pelatihan sosialisasi yang diikuti oleh 20 orang peserta, terdiri dari ketua KAN Nagari Lasi dan perangkat adat, guna meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk menjaga keberlanjutan budaya. Inisiatif ini menekankan pentingnya inovasi dalam menjaga identitas budaya lokal sekaligus merespons tantangan era digital. Dengan demikian, program ini diharapkan menjadi model pelestarian budaya yang adaptif dan dapat menginspirasi nagari-nagari lain di Sumatera Barat untuk melakukan transformasi digital serupa. Melalui pendekatan ini, nilai-nilai adat tidak hanya terjaga keberlanjutannya, tetapi juga mampu memperkuat daya saing dan eksistensi budaya masyarakat di era globalisasi.
