Abstract

Android is extensively used by some startups for food ordering applications, such as go food, grab food, Shopee food applications. However, the application cannot be used in a small scope such as the canteen on campus. At STMIK Amik Riau, the existing canteens still use manual methods in ordering and payment, therefore to facilitate canteen transactions, innovation was carried out, namely by using the e-canteen application. This application was created to make it easier to order menus, find out what menus are on that day and to prevent purchases without making payments. The e-canteen application had several features such as the name of the canteen, selection of available menus, menu prices, and payment processing. The making of e-canteen used a design Thinking approach. Design Thinking is a creative approach that collects ideas directly from application users. Design thinking has several stages, such as: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The testing process showed how the target users interacted with the prototype that had been created. The results obtained from this study demonstrated that the e-canteen application significantly facilitated canteen services by simplifying the ordering and payment processes. Specifically, users were able to place orders more efficiently and complete payments seamlessly, which improved overall user satisfaction and operational efficiency within the campus canteen.

Abstract

This study seeks to put into action and assess the effectiveness of a Suricata based Intrusion Detection System (IDS), on a Linux Ubuntu 22 04 operating system setup. Suricata was selected as the IDS for its features and strong performance, in identifying types of cyber threats. The execution procedure involves setting up Suricata through installation configuring it and conducting tests in a controlled setting. The efficiency assessment entails studying the detection accuracy alarm rate and response time of Suricata when confronted with attack scenarios. The findings, from the research are anticipated to enhance the protection of information systems that operate using Linux as their base platform.

Abstract

STMIK Amik Riau is the first computer college in Riau Province. As the first and focused on the field of computerization, all activities carried out, whether related to work or services to students, should be computerized and mobile based. One of the services that is a problem in this research is the Academic Advisory (PA) service which is still carried out conventionally. Various problems that occur include failure to input student Study Plan Cards (KRS) into the feeder system by the Higher Education Data Base (PDPT) due to late submission, difficulty meeting lecturers for consultation due to lecturers' busy schedules, guidance times are relatively fast so students cannot convey complaints. in the lecture process as well as PA consultation sheets which are easily damaged and lost. The many problems that exist conventionally give rise to the desire to integrate all existing problems into a system that can be accessed by students online. In building a system that integrates all existing problems, the author uses a system development process in the form of the User Centered Design method. The application of this method is focused on a system built to achieve research objectives and in accordance with the wishes of the user. The results that have been achieved are implemented directly with students and provide positive feedback because of the ease with which students can meet PA lecturers to consult on problems during the lecture process as well as the ease with which lecturers can monitor the entire history of their PA students.

Abstract

STMIK Amik Riau currently has a student organization, one of which is the Student Executive Board (BEM). Every year, BEM is chosen as the representative of the students to voice their aspirations both within and outside the campus. The election process for BEM representatives is still conducted traditionally on campus. However, not all students can participate in the election process regularly, resulting in some students being unable to vote for the candidates for the student president and vice-president. To address this issue, a system is needed to facilitate the election process. One solution is to conduct electronic elections, allowing all students to vote from anywhere using the internet. In this research, the developed system is called e-Polvot (Electronic Polling and Voting). This system can be used by anyone to conduct elections by creating their own election campaigns. Before designing the system, the research conducted a measurement of the potential users using the TRI model. The results from the TRI measurement were then used to determine whether the system should be developed or not. Subsequently, the e-Polvot system was built and implemented at STMIK Amik Riau. After the implementation, the system underwent black box testing to ensure its functionality. The testing results showed that the main features of the e-Polvot system were able to perform well.

Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Managemen Informatika dan Komputer AMIK Riau (STMIK Amik Riau) merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi komputer pertama di Provinsi riau yang terletak di kota pekanbaru. Setiap kampus memiliki peralatan pendukung perkuliahan untuk menunjang kegiatan proses belajar mengajar. Peralatan pendukung perkuliahan sangat penting untuk di perhatikan karena dengan peralatan yang baik dan memadai maka proses perkuliahan dapat di lakukan dengan baik dan lancar. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu dalam menentukan prioritas pelayanan perbaikan yang mana harus didahulukan berdasarkan jenis kerusakan, intensitas pemakaian, biaya perbaikan dan kebutuhan. Sesuai dengan uraian yang di jelaskan sebelumnya maka dibuat suatu sistem yang dapat memutuskan prioritas pelayanan perbaikan kerusakan peralatan pendukung perkuliahan menggunakan metode TOPSIS. Hasil ujicoba mengunakan Metode TOPSIS menunjukkan nilai kecocokan urutan prioritas perbaikan dengan urutan sebenarnya pada tahun 2016 sebesar 83,3333% dan pada tahun 2017 sebesar 91,6667%.

Abstract

Era digital saat ini membuka peluang besar bagi generasi muda, terutama siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), untuk berinovasi dalam pengembangan aplikasi mobile. Namun, pemahaman terkait monetisasi aplikasi, khususnya melalui platform Google Play Store, masih minim. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada siswa SMK Global Cendekia mengenai konsep, strategi, dan implementasi monetisasi aplikasi mobile agar karya mereka memiliki nilai ekonomi. Materi yang diberikan meliputi pengenalan jenis-jenis monetisasi aplikasi seperti iklan menggunakan Google AdMob, model freemium, dan berbayar. Selain itu, siswa diajarkan langkah-langkah teknis untuk mempersiapkan aplikasi agar dapat dipublikasikan di Google Play Store. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terkait strategi monetisasi aplikasi dan keterampilan teknis dalam memanfaatkan platform Google Play Store. Siswa mampu menghasilkan aplikasi sederhana yang siap untuk dipublikasikan dengan penerapan strategi monetisasi dasar. Luaran ini diharapkan dapat memberikan bekal bagi siswa untuk memanfaatkan peluang ekonomi digital serta meningkatkan kreativitas dan inovasi di bidang teknologi informasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, siswa didorong untuk tidak hanya fokus pada pengembangan teknis aplikasi, tetapi juga memahami aspek bisnis digital yang relevan dengan tuntutan industri saat ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the readiness of schools in implementing the Smart School system through various stages. One of the concepts of a Smart City involves integrating information and communication technology into the learning process at every school to create Smart Schools. However, not all schools are ready to implement this technology because it requires suitable technology to support the quality of teaching and learning. Another issue is the absence of information systems that can facilitate administrative tasks and the teaching and learning process. The use of the K-Means method is beneficial for clustering schools based on their stages, characteristics, and readiness to implement the Smart School system. This helps identify schools with the highest level of readiness. This research demonstrates that the use of K-Means can identify school readiness based on the established stages related to the Smart School system. It also can pique students' interest in developing and boosting the school's reputation as the best technology-based school.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan isu yang semakin penting di kalangan pemuda Indonesia, terutama dengan meningkatnya ekspresi emosi negatif seperti stres, kelelahan, dan kecemasan yang sering diungkapkan melalui media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen kesehatan mental pemuda menggunakan pendekatan deep learning berbasis Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) terhadap unggahan publik berbahasa Indonesia di platform X (Twitter). Data dikumpulkan melalui proses web scraping dengan kata kunci yang relevan dan kemudian melalui tahapan pra-pemrosesan, pelabelan manual, serta pembagian data menjadi 80% untuk pelatihan dan 20% untuk pengujian. Model LSTM dibangun dengan arsitektur yang terdiri atas embedding layer, LSTM layer, dropout layer, dense layer, dan output layer beraktivasi Softmax untuk tiga kelas sentimen (positif, negatif, dan netral). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi sentimen menunjukkan bahwa emosi negatif mendominasi dengan proporsi 45,8%, diikuti oleh sentimen positif sebesar 35,8%, dan netral sebesar 18,4%.Model mampu mencapai akurasi sebesar 87,4% dengan nilai precision dan recall rata-rata sebesar 0,85, yang menandakan kemampuan tinggi dalam mengenali konteks bahasa informal pemuda di media sosial. Analisis distribusi sentimen menunjukkan dominasi emosi negatif yang berkaitan dengan tekanan akademik dan sosial, sementara sentimen positif menggambarkan semangat dan mekanisme adaptasi diri. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa LSTM efektif untuk deteksi ekspresi emosional berbasis teks serta berpotensi diterapkan sebagai sistem pemantauan digital bagi kesejahteraan mental generasi muda.
