Abstract

The research was conducted to improve science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at GMIM 7 Tomohon Elementary School in the academic year 2022/2023, with a total of 33 students. This study used classroom action research (CAR) with four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection, which were applied in two cycles. In this study, observations and assessments were conducted by asking all students a series of written questions using Student Worksheets and Assessment Sheets. The data were analyzed using percentage calculations and the average learning outcomes achieved by the students. The initial data obtained showed that the students' science learning outcomes were 60%. The research results showed that the students' science learning outcomes experienced a significant improvement after implementing the problem-solving learning model. In Cycle I, there was an increase in learning outcomes to 70.15%. In Cycle II, the learning outcomes reached 90%. This research provides evidence of consistent improvement in the student's science learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II. Based on the research findings and discussions, implementing the Problem-Solving learning model will improve the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at GMIM 7 Tomohon Elementary School. Abstract

This study aims to improve students' speaking abilities through a communicative approach to learning the Indonesian language of third-grade students of GMIM V Tomohon Elementary School. The research problem formulation is how to improve speaking ability through a communicative approach of third-grade students of GMIM V Tomohon Elementary School. The subjects in this study were third-grade students of GMIM V Tomohon Elementary School with 21 students, while the object of this study was to improve students' speaking abilities through a communicative approach. This research was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle was conducted twice a meeting, so this class action research was successful. Based on the results of the study, it is known that improving students' speaking abilities through a communicative approach in learning Indonesian, from before the action, cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I action, it was known that seven students were complete or classical completeness only reached 60%. In cycle II, the completed students increased to 21 or a classical completeness of 87.61%. Thus, a communicative approach can improve students' speaking ability in learning Indonesian for third-grade students at GMIM V Tomohon Elementary School.

Abstract

This research was conducted to address the issues that occur in the classroom and determine the extent of improvement in students' learning outcomes in the Indonesian language, particularly in the Pantun material, using the Project Based Learning model for the fifth-grade students at SD GMIM 4 Tomohon for the academic year 2022/2023, with a total of 31 students. The background of this research arises from the low learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students at SD GMIM 4 Tomohon, especially in the Pantun subject, due to the suboptimal application of the learning model. Based on observations conducted in the fifth-grade class at SD GMIM 4 Tomohon, out of 31 students, only eight have achieved the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of 75. In contrast, 23 students did not meet the minimum completeness criteria set. This action research refers to the research design by Kemmis and Mc. Taggar has the following steps: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection, carried out in two cycles. Based on the percentage of learning outcomes obtained in Cycle I, which is 69%, it requires re-planning for Cycle II. In Cycle II, the learning outcomes have reached 86.2%, indicating an improvement and achievement of the completeness standard. With these results, the researcher can conclude that implementing the Project Based Learning model has increased students' learning outcomes. Based on the research and discussion, students' learning outcomes in the Indonesian language can be improved by applying the Project Based Learning model, especially in the Pantun material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in thematic learning with energy material and its uses. The findings using the T test and the Liliefors analysis technique show. The student learning outcomes with conventional learning, the posttest score in the control class was 66.09. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the experimental class, the posttest score was 89.61. There is a significant influence with the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in thematic learning. This is in accordance with the t test calculation, the figure obtained is 4.163 while the t table is 1.680, so it is proven that there is a significant influence with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The conclusion in this research states that the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model are better than the average learning outcomes of students taught using conventional learning.
