The independent variable in this study was husband support, while the dependent variable was the mother's interest in the selection of IUD contraceptives. Data collection of independent and dependent variables using questionnaire measuring instruments. Data processing includes editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. The analysis used is a univariate analysis using a frequency table to describe each variable and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Squere test. The results of the analysis using the Chi Square Test obtained probability values (p value) = 0.001 (p value >0.05).

Abstract

A person is considered elderly if they have reached the age of 60 years or more. Elderly people will undergo a degenerative aging process, one of the changes that occurs in elderly people is in the cardiovascular system. Changes that occur in the heart of older people include thickening of the left ventricular wall and reduced elasticity of the heart muscle. This has an impact on the blood vessels of older people who are susceptible to hypertension. One way to overcome this problem is to do tera exercises as a non-pharmacological therapy. Tera gymnastics is a combination of breathing exercises and body movements. This counseling aims to determine the impact of tera exercise on reducing blood pressure in elderly people suffering from hypertension at the Posyandu Hall, Punggur RW 17 Plot, Nongsa District. This counseling uses a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest – posttest design. There were 25 elderly people who were respondents in this counseling.

Abstract

Labor pain is needed to detect uterine contractions during childbirth, but pain also increases the mother's anxiety and fear during the birth process. Management of labor pain that can be done is birth ball therapy and hypnobirthing. The aim is to determine the difference in the effect of Birth Ball therapy and Hypnobirthing on reducing labor pain in the I phase active for maternity women in the working area of Puskesmas Sei Langkai Batam City. The design of this research is Quasi experimental with a Two-group interrupted time series design. Respondents were divided into 16 experimental groups and 16 control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and data collection using observation sheet. The results of the study were (p = 0.305 > 0.05), meaning there was no significant difference between the birth ball and hypnobirthing groups in reducing pain, (p = 0.003 < 0.05) meaning there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores on pain reduction, (p = 0.718 > 0.05) meaning there is no interaction between group (birth ball and hypnobirthing) and score (pre-test and post-test) on reducing pain. Based on these results, it can be concluded that measurement time (pre-test and post-test) has a significant effect on pain scores, but there is no significant effect between different groups, and there is no significant interaction between group and time on reducing labor pain.

Based on the results of the Chi-Square Test statistic using SPSS, the probability value (p) was smaller than alpha (0.013)
