Abstract

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are a measure of student success in the learning process in class. This research aims to analyze student learning outcomes in class VII-5 of SMP Negeri 5 Kisaran in mathematics subjects. The type of research carried out was qualitative with a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were students in class VII-5 of SMP Negeri 5 Kisaran with a total of 32 people. The analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique including data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this research show that the learning outcomes of students with low criteria were 2 students, medium as many as 17 students, high as many as 12 students, and very high as many as 1 student and the average score obtained by students in mathematics learning activities was 20.88 with a percentage 84%, which means that the mathematics learning carried out by students in class VII-5 at SMP Negeri 5 Kisaran is in the good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the results of increasing students' interest in learning mathematics on the material of building space by using the Problem Basset Learning (PBL) learning model. This research uses the method of classroom action research (PTK) or action research. According to Arikunto (2010: 1). Classroom action research is research that describes the cause-and-effect of treatment, as well as describes what happens when treatment is given, and describes the entire process from the beginning of the treatment to the impact of the treatment. The subjects used in this study were students of class VII-2 SMP N 5 Kisaran with a total of 32 students. The data in this study are test results and observation results. The results showed that using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model can increase students' interest in learning mathematics on the material of building space. In cycle I consisting of 32 students, where 25 students (78%) in class VII-2 have increased students' interest in learning mathematics, while in cycle II with 29 students (91%) has greatly increased students' interest in learning while only 3 students (9%) still have not increased their interest in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the potential of the BRICS currency in challenging the dominance of the US dollar from the perspective of Islamic monetary economics. The study examines the advantages and challenges associated with the emergence of the BRICS currency as an alternative to the US dollar in international trade and finance, focusing on the principles of Islamic monetary economics, which emphasize justice, stability, and sustainability. A qualitative method is used in this research, with data sourced from journals, books, and articles. The main analytical tools are exchange rates and foreign policy. The research findings indicate that the potential emergence of the BRICS currency is driven by longstanding dependence on the hegemony of the US dollar, which benefits the US more than developing countries. However, the BRICS currency is deemed less potential due to the need for substantial financial infrastructure and competition with the World Bank. Therefore, BRICS should consider an Islamic financial system based on principles of justice, sustainability, and economic independence.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education necessitates that future teachers acquire the skills to design and implement effective digital learning media. The Merdeka Curriculum, particularly through its Alur Merdeka framework, emphasizes flexible and independent learning, aligning with this need. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a Digital Learning Media module grounded in the Alur Merdeka approach to improve student competencies in educational technology. A Research and Development (RD) methodology was applied, guided by the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Module validity was assessed by expert reviewers. Practicality was gauged through student response questionnaires, and effectiveness was measured using N-Gain Scores from pretest and posttest results. The module demonstrated high validity (87.6%) and strong practicality (84%) based on expert evaluations and student feedback. Effectiveness testing showed a significant improvement in students’ competencies, with an N-Gain Score of 0.72, categorized as high. The findings confirm that the Alur Merdeka-based module is a valid, practical, and effective tool for supporting independent learning in teacher education. Its implementation can enhance prospective teachers’ ability to develop technology-driven instructional media. This study contributes to the development of flexible, competency-based digital learning resources in alignment with the Merdeka Curriculum, supporting the broader integration of technology in teacher education programs.
