Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik, dan pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis audio visual terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Mangkura I Makassar, kelas V-A sebanyak 32 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas V-B sebanyak 31 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan angket. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t (uji paired sample t-test) maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik karena setelah digunakan model pembelajaran ini peserta didik mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya, (2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis audio visual terhadap motivasi belajar karena motivasi belajar peserta didik meningkat secara signifikan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran ini. The purpose of the study was to determine: (1) the effect of problem-based learning model based on audio visual on students' critical thinking ability, and (2) the effect of problem-based learning model based on audio visual on students' learning motivation. This type of research is a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study were fifth grade students at SDN Mangkura I Makassar, 32 students in class V-A as the experimental class, and 31 students in class V-B as the control class. The data collection methods used are critical thinking skills tests, and questionnaires. While the data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the t-test analysis (paired sample t-test), it was concluded that: (1) there is an effect of problem-based learning model based on audio visual on the critical thinking ability of students because after using this learning model students experience a significant increase in their critical thinking ability, (2) there is an effect of problem-based learning model based on audio visual on learning motivation because students' learning motivation increases significantly after using this learning model.
