Abstract

Teaching materials are a resource for teachers and students to carry out the learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative teaching materials that enable students to achieve superior learning outcomes. One of the innovative and creative and interesting teaching materials is the Social Sciences Animation Video-Based Teaching Material (S2AV). In this study, the aim of this study was to commercialize social studies teaching materials by using animated videos as teaching materials for class VIII junior high school students on the subject of "Indonesian Community Plurality". This development research uses the 4-D method (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results showed that the S2AV learning media was valid with an average total score of 3.83 based on material expert validation and 3.87 based on media expert validation. The response of the eighth graders was positive (97%).

Abstract

Discovery Learning is a learning model that changes learning from teacher-centred learning to student-centred learning so that students learn actively by discovering themselves, investigating themselves and cultivating a scientific attitude. The purpose of this research is to discover the research focus related to Discovery Learning in learning mathematics and its novelty. The method used is bibliometric analysis. The data taken comes from the Scopus database. The study results show increased publications related to Discovery Learning in mathematics learning from 2017 to 2023. The highest citation trend occurred in the 2017 publication, which has been cited 41 times. The country that has had a major impact on Discovery Learning research in mathematics learning is Indonesia. The research focus is divided into three parts, namely, 1) Discovery Learning, Mathematics Learning and student; 2) problem-solving and Indonesia; 3) junior high school and Geometry. New themes in this field are e-learning, teaching and learning, mathematical software, pre-service teachers, and technology.

Abstract

People who are good at math are the same as people who are mainly left-brained, or conversely, people who like art like drawing, music, dancing, etc., are the same as right-brained people. This is why the analysis tool "HAIR SALON" was born, used in the Mind Map model related to the brain's two hemispheres, the left brain and the right brain. "HAIR SALON" media is used to make the learning process interesting. Mind maps are the most effective and efficient way to collect, store, and generate data from students' brains to describe how learning outcomes are affected and the effects of brain usage. Right and left brain dominant. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in Mathematics by using the mind map model to improve learning outcomes. Middle school students study statistical materials. The method that will be used in this study is the descriptive method. This form of research is classroom action research (PTK). How to collect data, analyze techniques, and describe the interpretations and conclusions of the classroom audience will be discussed

Abstract

Model pembelajaran inqury mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta mengembangkan keterampilan bertanya, bekerjasama dalam kelompok untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik. Masalah utama adalah nilai ulangan harian peserta didik kelas VIII untuk pelajaran matematika dengan materi  luas bangun datar  rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang luas bangun datar pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bekri. Rancangan penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yaitu yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bekri berjumlah 31 siswa pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara atau bertanya kepada siswa dan memberikan latihan soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini penggunaan metode inquiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sebesar 86% pada materi luas bangun datar.
