Abstract

IGiven the rapid development of technology, education in the field of technology becomes crucial for everyone. One of the roles of technology education in fostering someone's creativity can be achieved through learning about things that require creativity, such as animation in the digital world. The Information Systems Program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia organized a community service activity in the form of a workshop on November 25, 2023, covering the introduction to the basic concepts of 2D and 3D animation. The workshop was facilitated by Edwar Juanda, S.Ds., M.Ikom, as the speaker, and was attended by 90 participants from high schools and vocational schools in various areas around the Banten province. The workshop proceeded smoothly, and the participants appeared very enthusiastic and active throughout the event. Particularly during the workshop session, participants took turns trying out Virtual Reality tools provided by the speaker. The evaluation through a questionnaire received a positive response from participants with a score of 4.12, indicating agreement. It is hoped that this workshop will provide a broader insight into the younger generation regarding the application of technology, especially in the creation of 2D and 3D animations.

Abstract

Media Sosial Tiktok sangat melekat dengan keseharian generasi Z yang saat ini masih duduk di bangku sekolah. Tiktok terkadangan membuat anak-anak usia sekolah menghabiskan waktu secara berlebihan bermain gadget hingga mengganggu waktu belajarnya. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas di media sosial, prodi Sistem Informasi Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya menggelar pelatihan pembuatan konten Tiktok bagi pelajar SMA dan SMK di wilayah Tangerang, Banten. Narasumber pelatihan ini yang juga seorang influencer Tiktok berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelajar SMA dan SMK yang mengikuti pelatihan ini. Sebab pada proses pelatihannya peserta selain menerima penjelasan tentang materi berkonten, mereka juga langsung didampingi pada sesi praktek membuat konten Tiktok. Hasilnya, peserta semakin mampu membuat konten review kegiatan, review fasiltas dan tempat, dan konten informatif lainnya. Nilai pre-test dan post-test juga menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 74,4 persen pada peserta dalam pelatihan ini.

Abstract

Purpose: This training for social media content creators and professional video production techniques is conducted with the aim of providing motivation and insights into the tricks and techniques needed to become a content creator. The goal is for the participants, who are high school students, to utilize their gadgets and time more constructively rather than for consumptive purposes. Methodology: Organized by the Information Systems Department of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, this training will be held at Campus 3 BSD Unika Atma Jaya on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Targeting 60 to 100 high school students from Banten, the activity will be evaluated using pre-tests and post-tests, calculated manually using the average formula. Results: The result of the training activity went smoothly and achieved the initial target of being attended by 90 active participants. The selection of speakers for the training was also appropriate, matching their expertise, and they were able to deliver the material clearly using various real-life examples. The evaluation results of the activity showed that the post-test scores increased by 43.7% compared to the pre-test scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the participants understood what was conveyed by the speakers. Conclusions: The right resource persons and interactive learning methods contributed to the effectiveness of the training. The success of this activity shows a positive impact in increasing the creativity and productivity of the younger generation in utilizing gadgets constructively. Limitations: Due to time and budget constraints, the activity was not conducted with direct hands-on practice in the form of a workshop. Additionally, the target participants were limited to the surrounding area, specifically high school students in the Banten region. Contribution: This training gives high school students broader insights, enabling them to use their gadgets and time positively. It also equips them to become content creators by learning professional video production and social media management skills.

Abstract

Keterampilan pemrograman menjadi kebutuhan penting di era digital, terutama untuk mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan dalam kompetisi sains, seperti Olimpiade Sains Nasional tingkat Kota (OSN-K). Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membimbing siswa SMA Tarakanita 2 Jakarta, khususnya 5 siswa dari kelas 10 dan 11 dalam mempersiapkan diri mengikuti OSN-K 2024 bidang informatika melalui pelatihan intensif pemrograman C++. Peserta siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan disini memiliki pengetahuan dasar pemrograman yang bervariasi, mulai dari siswa yang belum memahami dasar pemrograman, dan ada yang sudah mengenal dasar pemrograman di mata pelajaran kelas yang diberikan oleh guru. Metode yang digunakan mengombinasikan pembelajaran teori dan praktik dengan memanfaatkan platform pembelajaran interaktif, seperti TOKI, W3Schools, dan Kattis, serta alat pengembangan Visual Studio Code dan OnlineGDB. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara hybrid (daring dan luring) selama 6 hari. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakukan, terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam skor ketepatan jawaban dan algoritma, serta kecepatan waktu pengerjaan soal oleh siswa. Rata-rata peningkatan skor mencapai 11,3 atau 27,8%, sementara waktu penyelesaian soal lebih cepat sebesar 17 detik atau 6,8%. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil memperkuat kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi OSN-K dan membekali mereka dengan keterampilan pemrograman yang lebih baik untuk masa depan

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini mengungkap hasil implementasi Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) di Desa Hiteurat untuk meningkatkan pelayanan publik, partisipasi masyarakat, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di tingkat desa. Melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan, kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya SID dalam pelayanan publik dan partisipasi dalam pembangunan ditingkatkan. Implementasi SID berdampak positif pada aksesibilitas informasi bagi warga desa, efisiensi pelayanan publik, dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat melalui platform tersebut. Pelatihan juga berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat, memungkinkan mereka memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dengan lebih percaya diri. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SID bukan hanya tentang teknologi, tetapi juga pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pembangunan, menciptakan dasar kuat untuk pelayanan publik yang unggul, partisipasi yang inklusif, dan pembangunan desa berkelanjutan

Abstract

Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a crucial framework for evaluating alternatives based on diverse and often conflicting criteria. However, most existing MCDM tools still require technical skills or software installation, which limits their accessibility for non-technical users. This study introduces Topsisku, a general-purpose web-based decision support system that implements the TOPSIS method. Topsisku enables users to upload datasets, assign weights and criterion types, and obtain ranking results directly through an intuitive web interface. The system was evaluated using three case studies from prior literature, each representing a different domain. Results indicate that the system’s computations are identical to manual calculations, with Spearman rank correlation coefficients approaching perfection (ρ ≈ 1.0; p < 0.001). A usability test involving 10 respondents yielded an average System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 76.5, placing Topsisku in the Good usability category. These findings confirm that Topsisku is both mathematically accurate and user-friendly. The primary contribution of this study lies in democratizing the application of MCDM for non-technical users while maintaining the reliability of the TOPSIS method. Future research directions include the development of advanced sensitivity analysis modules, integration of collaborative multi-user features, and the incorporation of artificial intelligence techniques to enhance system adaptability and decision-making support.

Abstract

Gereja Isa Almasih Jemaat Purwodadi dengan jumlah jemaat yang terus bertambah dan kegiatan ibadah yang beragam, menimbulkan tantangan bagi pengurus gereja dalam mengelola semua aspek administrasi dan penjadwalan dengan efisien. Kebutuhan data yang ada juga semakin meningkat, sehingga menjadi susah untuk bisa dikelola secara konvensional. Sistem Informasi Gereja Isa Almasih Jemaat Purwodadi adalah solusi tepat untuk membantu gereja mengelola semua aspek terkait dengan ibadah, seperti jadwal kegiatan, pelayanan jemaat, manajemen keuangan, dan dokumentasi ibadah. Upaya penerapan sistem tersebut membutuhkan suatu pelatihan untuk memperkenalkan sistem dan melihat tingkat pemahaman, keahlian, dan keterampilan pengurus gereja serta anggota jemaat terkait sistem informasi gereja. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan secara luring di Gereja Isa Almasaih Jemaat Purwodadi Kabupaten Grobogan pada tanggal 1 Juli 2023 yang dihadiri jemaat dan pengurus gereja dengan total 20 orang. Kegiatan berjalan lancar dengan hasil yang menunjukkan sistem dapat diterapkan dengan baik dan dapat mengatasi permasalahan informasi dan administrasi gereja yang terbukti dari hasil angket responden. Secara keseluruhan peserta puas dan akan menggunakan sistem informasi gereja

Abstract

Facial emotion recognition plays a critical role in various human–computer interaction applications, yet remains challenging due to class imbalance, label noise, and subtle inter-class visual similarities. The FER2013 dataset, containing seven emotion classes, is particularly difficult because of its low resolution and heavily skewed label distribution. This study presents a comparative investigation of advanced deep learning architectures against traditional machine-learning baselines on FER2013 to address these challenges and improve recognition performance. Two novel architectures are proposed. The first is an attention-based convolutional neural network (CNN) that integrates Mish activations and squeeze-and-excitation (SE) channel recalibration to enhance the discriminative capacity of intermediate features. The second, FastCNN-SE, is a refined extension designed for computational efficiency and minority-class robustness, incorporating Sparsemax activation, Poly-Focal loss, class-balanced reweighting, and MixUp augmentation. The research contribution is demonstrating how combining attention, sparse activations, and imbalance-aware learning improves FER performance under challenging real-world conditions. Both models were extensively evaluated: the attention-CNN under 10-fold cross-validation, achieving 0.6170 accuracy and 0.555 macro-F1, and FastCNN-SE on the held-out test set, achieving 0.5960 accuracy and 0.5138 macro-F1. These deep models significantly outperform PCA-based Logistic Regression, Linear SVC, and Random Forest baselines (≤0.37 accuracy and ≤0.29 macro-F1). We additionally justify the differing evaluation protocols by emphasizing cross-validation for architectural stability and held-out testing for generalization and note that FastCNN-SE contains ~3M parameters, enabling efficient inference. These findings demonstrate that architecture-level fusion of SE attention, Sparsemax, and Poly-Focal loss improves balanced emotion recognition, offering a strong foundation for future studies on efficient and robust affective-computing systems.
