Abstract

Tari Rudat Angling Dharma di Desa Krasak merupakan satu-satunya Tari Rudat yang masih hidup dan berkembang di Kabupaten Indramayu. Gerak dalam tarian ini berasal dari pencak silat milik sesepuh Indramayu yaitu Nyi Endang Darma. Tarian ini masih mempertahankan tradisi masyarakat Indramayu melalui gerak dan kostum tarinya. Hal tersebut menjadi daya tarik untuk diteliti lebih mendalam mengenai struktur Tari Rudat Angling Dharma. Penelitian ini menggunakan landasan konsep pemikiran Y. Sumandiyo Hadi mengenai struktur tari yang terdiri atas; gerak tari, ruang tari, iringan tari, judul tari, tema tari, tipe/jenis/sifat tari, mode penyajian, jumlah penari dan jenis kelamin, rias kostum tari, tata cahaya, serta properti tari. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitafif melalui pendekatan deskriptif analisis dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah pengumpulan data meliputi; observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, triangulasi; analisis data. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah terungkapnya struktur Tari Rudat Angling Dharma. Kata Kunci: Struktur, Tari Rudat Angling Dharma, Indramayu ABSTRACTTHE STRUCTURE OF RUDAT ANGLING DHARMA DANCE IN KRASAK VILLAGE INDRAMAYU REGENCY, DECEMBER 2024. The Rudat Angling Dharma dance in Krasak Village is the only Rudat Dance that is still alive and developing in Indramayu Regency. The movements in this dance come from pencak silat of an Indramayu elder, namely Nyi Endang Darma. This dance still maintains the traditions of Indramayu society through its dance movements and costumes. This becomes an attraction for deeper research into the structure of Rudat Angling Dharma Dance. This research uses the basic concept of Y. Sumandiyo Hadi's thoughts regarding dance structure which consists of; dance movements, dance space, dance accompaniment, dance title, dance theme, dance type/kind/nature, presentation mode, the number of dancers and gender, dance costume make-up, lighting, and dance properties. The study uses a qualitative research method through a descriptive analysis approach using data collection steps including; observation, interviews, documentation, triangulation; data analysis. The result of this research is the revelation of the structure of Rudat Angling Dharma Dance. Keyword: Structure, Rudat Angling Dharma Dance, Indramayu.

Abstract

Karya tari dengan judul Asrah ini diambil dari bahasa Sansekerta yang memiliki arti pasrah. Karya ini memiliki sumber inspirasi yang berasal dari persoalan Hukum Adat yakni Hukum Cambuk yang terjadi di Daerah Istimewa Aceh. Efek psikologis penerima hukuman cambuk menjadi titik fokus penggarapan karya ini. Banyaknya pro dan kontra dalam persoalan ini cukup menarik perhatian masyarakat sekitar akan aturan Qanun dan hukum Jinayat yang terdapat di daerah Aceh. Landasan konsep garap yang dipakai pada karya tari Asrah ini adalah sebuah teori pemikiran Jacqueline Smith tentang tari dramatik dengan metode Relasi Artistik. Karya ini digarap dengan tipe dramatik menggunakan gerak kontemporer yang dihasilkan dari proses ekplorasi gerak dengan dinamika, irama dan gerak keseharian yang distilisasi dan didistrosikan menjadi sebuah pembaruan.

Abstract

This article traces the transformation process of the legend of the characters Gandasari and Gandawangi into Gandasari Gandawangi Dance, created as a tourism performing art in Jalawastu Traditional Village, Brebes, Central Java. The legend narrates the story of a civil war among prominent figures embracing Islam in that region. From this narrative, a dance and music performance with an innovative tourism package highlighting Jalawastu Traditional Village's local wisdom was realized. The research methodology employed in this study is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques encompassed interviews, documentary studies, and field observations. Observations were conducted to gather data, which was subsequently analyzed to formulate the transformation process and understand the significance of the Gandasari Gandawangi Dance. This article concludes that Gandasari Gandawangi Dance is adapted from the legend and further developed with creative dance movements, thereby serving as a tourism performing art that is expected to enhance the tourism potential of Jalawastu Traditional Village.
