Abstract

Marriage is one of the developmental tasks of early adulthood. The tendency of individuals to have families is a genetically inherited instinct. Living together between individuals is not an easy matter, because everyone has a different background so that differences in character, perspective and decision-making become a challenge in itself. Frequently these differences become conflicts in marriages that lead to divorce. The article aimed to conduct pre-marital assistance through Group Guidance services as preventive efforts to minimize divorce rates in the future. Pre-marital guidance was given to 10 Metro City IPPNU cadres who had entered early adulthood. In this service, The method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR). The result of the dedication is that pre-marital guidance needs to be given to individuals who enter early adulthood long before marriage is carried out so that insight into knowledge, understanding and skills can really be prepared carefully.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan hasil dari penelitian pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat nilai-nilai tasamuh (toleransi dan kerukunan) di lingkungan Pondok Pesantren melalui layanan bimbingan klasikal. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan pendampingan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan aktifitas berbasis komunitas yang mendorong partisipasi aktif santri di Pondok Pesantren dalam upaya membangun atmosfer yang inklusif, menghargai perbedaan, dan mempromosikan toleransi antarindividu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mencakup pengumpulan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengevaluasi dampak dari layanan bimbingan klasikal terhadap perubahan nilai-nilai tasamuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ABCD melalui layanan bimbingan klasikal telah berhasil dalam menguatkan nilai-nilai tasamuh di Pondok Pesantren. Artikel ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana layanan bimbingan klasikal dan pendekatan ABCD dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam mempromosikan toleransi, kerukunan, dan keberagaman di lingkungan Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

The role of social media as a medium for sharing status, photos, and videos has turned into a business tool. There are few accounts on behalf of individuals or organizations. However, the account manager is anonymous, such as the Lambe Turah account, which is the object of research in this article. This paper aimed to analyze Lambe Turah's account based on industry and Muamalah's theory. This paper used a type of qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using the note-taking technique. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive-analysis techniques through the selected theory. The study results show that Lambe Turah's Instagram account is a news account on social media that provides factual and non-factual information for financial gain, so it can be classified as non-journalist media. In the muamalah aspect (socio-economic), the sources of information presented by the Lambe Turah account are not listed as validity indicators. This information related to the news on the account cannot be used as the primary reference. In the view of Ayat Muamalah, the validity of information is the main requirement for the eligibility of information to be reported and disseminated. Therefore, the efforts made by Lambe Turah as a provider of information and business services have yet to be guided by the production principles discussed in the Qur'an.

Abstract

TikTok is among the most widely used social media platforms by adolescents, featuring unique elements such as algorithm-driven short videos and appearance enhancing filters that differentiate it from other platforms. These characteristics render TikTok particularly influential in shaping adolescents’ perceptions of body image and self-esteem. This study aims to examine the impact of TikTok media exposure on body image and self-esteem among adolescents aged 15 to 18 years. A quantitative method was employed using multivariate linear regression analysis. The sample comprised 172 active TikTok users from Taruna Gajah Mada High School, Metro, Indonesia, with data collected through an online questionnaire. The instruments used included the Media and Technology Usage and Attitudes Scale (MTUAS), the Body Image Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The results revealed that TikTok exposure significantly affected body image (F = 98.697; p < 0.001) and self-esteem (F = 110.177; p < 0.001), with a combined explained variance of 31.3%. Exposure to idealized body-related content fosters social comparison, adversely impacting adolescents’ self-image and confidence. This study underscores the importance of digital literacy and psychosocial support in encouraging healthy social media use among adolescents. It concludes that TikTok exposure plays a substantial role in shaping how adolescents perceive their bodies and assess their self-worth, highlighting the media’s influence on self-concept and psychological well-being.
