Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas delapan SMP N 7 Yogyakarta dengan menggunakan permainan komunikatif. Peserta penelitian ini berjumlah 32 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara, dan tes. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari tes, dan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Statistik deskriptif menganalisis data kuantitatif, dan data kualitatif dianalisis dengan menampilkan data, memverifikasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan komunikatif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Peningkatan nilai siswa menunjukkannya; Pada pre-test, rata-rata siswa adalah 2,96. Pada post-test 1, rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 3,17. Sementara itu, pada post-test 2, rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 3,54. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan permainan komunikatif meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study is based on the implementation of online learning by the government during the pandemic era. Online learning system requires students and teachers to take advantage of existing technology to keep learning even though they do not meet each other. During the pandemic, almost all students in Indonesia experienced online learning by utilizing applications such as zoom and google meet. The purpose of this study is to discover the perceptions of XI grade students at SMA N 1 Patimuan for the academic year of 2021/2022 during the implementation of online learning in the pandemic era. All data obtained through questionnaires distributed using google form. The subjects of this study were the 112 students of XI grade at the SMA N 1 Patimuan. The study found that students felt dissatisfied and experienced some challenges during the implementation of online learning. From their point of view, the disadvantages of online classes outnumber the benefits. The lack of understanding about online learning applications, weak internet connectivity, poor interaction with others, and hard to understand the materials are the most challenges found

Abstract

This study explored the challenges in implementing flipped classrooms learning in English language teaching and learning activity in Banjar Agung. An English language teacher and two seventh graders are interviewed in this study. Data were gathered by utilized interviews and observation. Data were analyzed by triangulation. This study revealed that the main challenges in implementing flipped classrooms are limited or out of quota cellular and internet signals that might be lost during pre-class activity. The study also revealed that the English language teacher was seldom to send or provide pre-class learning materials to their students.
