Abstract

Achievement motivation is a key factor influencing an individual’s success in entrepreneurship. This article aims to elucidate the definition and foundational theories of achievement motivation within the context of entrepreneurship. Achievement motivation can be defined as an internal drive that propels individuals to reach specific goals and standards deemed important. In entrepreneurship, this motivation serves as a primary driver for individuals to take risks, innovate, and attain business success. The theoretical foundations of achievement motivation include McClelland's need theory, which emphasizes the importance of the need for achievement, affiliation, and power. Additionally, expectancy theory and goal-setting theory contribute to understanding how individuals establish and pursue their objectives in entrepreneurship. This research concludes that a profound understanding of achievement motivation can assist aspiring entrepreneurs in developing effective strategies to achieve business success.

Abstract

The head of the madrasah as an education leader needs to have innovation and creative ideas to improve the quality of education. Innovative and creative leaders are very important to create madrasahs that are in demand by the community and education stakeholders, increase competitiveness and be able to answer the challenges of the times. This study aims to describe the leadership innovations of madrasah heads and the efforts of madrasah heads in improving the quality of education in MTs Persis 37 Sumedang. The method used in this study is qualitative with interview data collection techniques, observation and document analysis. The results of this study show that the leadership innovation of madrasah heads at MTs Persis 37 Sumedang conducted through several programs and activities such as adab-based curriculum, literacy activities, reading the Qur'an, reading books, writing verses of the Qur’an, summarizing books and featured programs, namely "Kejar Cemerlang 37". Meanwhile, the attempts of madrasah heads in improving the quality of education at MTs Persis 37 Sumedang are carried out, including creative and innovative ideas that are participatory, collaborative, transformative, integrity and effective. Keywords: Innovation, leadership, quality, education   ABSTRAK Kepala madrasah sebagai pemimpin pendidikan perlu memiliki inovasi dan ide-ide kreatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas Pendidikan. Pemimpin yang inovatif dan kreatif sangat penting untuk menciptakan madrasah yang diminati oleh masayarakat dan stakeholder pendidikan, meningkatkan daya saing dan mampu menjawab tantangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dan upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di MTs persis 37 Sumedang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan telaah dokumen. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa inovasi kepemimpinan kepala madrasah di MTs persis 37 Sumedang diantaranya melalui beberapa program dan kegiatan seperti kurikulum berbasis adab, kegiatan literasi, membaca Al Qur’an, membaca buku, menulis ayat Al Quran, merangkum buku dan program unggulan yakni “Kejar Cemerlang 37”. Sedangkan upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di MTs persis 37 Sumedang dilakukan diantaranya dengan ide kreatif dan inovatif parsipatif, kolaboratif, transformatif, integritas dan efektif. Abstract

The management of new student admissions plays a crucial role in supporting the realization of quality education. Therefore, its implementation must be carried out in a well-structured and systematic manner. This study aims to analyze the description and reinforcement of new student admission management in secondary schools originating from primary schools. The study employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and relevant literature reviews. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and key findings related to the new student admission management process. The findings reveal that the management of new student admissions from primary to secondary schools adopts the Planning, Programming, Budgeting System (PPBS) model, which encompasses three main steps: planning, programming, and budgeting. The results also indicate that the number of new students from primary schools has significantly increased over the past five years, peaking at 184 new students. The implementation of the PPBS model in new student admission management has proven effective in increasing student enrollment and strengthening the administrative system for admissions.The study concludes that the use of the PPBS model can enhance the management process of new student admissions in secondary schools, ensuring a more efficient and effective admission system.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the inadequate accreditation preparation time as the main cause of the madrasah unpreparedness in the accreditation assessment process. The head of the madrasah needs to provide special time for teachers and staff to take care of the required documents. In addition, the head of the madrasah must always be ready with information regarding summonses and notifications from the Agency, as well as changes in the accreditation assessment schedule. . This study aims to find out the accreditation management of MAN 2 Sumedang which includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of accreditation. This research uses a qualitative method. This research is located at MAN 2 Sumedang, a flagship madrasah with an accreditation status of "A" and a score of 93 based on the decision of the National Accreditation Board for Madrasahs/Madrasas. The results of the study show that accreditation planning is carried out through deliberations involving all stakeholders and the formation of an accreditation team that collects the necessary documents. The implementation of accreditation was carried out online using Zoom for two days, including questions and answers and learning observations. Accreditation evaluations are conducted after the grades come out, with a focus on identifying deficiencies and continuous improvement. The evaluation aims to measure the program's achievement, generate recommendations, and make decisions for continuous improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to fill the gap in the study of the relationship between Maslow's motivation theory and teacher performance, which has not been widely explored in the context of madrasah. The main problem identified was the low performance of teachers at MTs Negeri 6 Sumedang, such as the lack of use of varied learning media and innovative methods, as well as the lack of motivation to improve pedagogical quality. This study uses qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and documentation to assess the fulfillment of teacher needs based on Maslow's hierarchy. The results of the study show that the fulfillment of physiological needs and sense of security of ASN teachers is relatively good, but the need for appreciation and self-actualization still requires special attention. The awards given tend to be limited to verbal praise, while self-actualization is reflected in the teacher's participation in the training. Motivational strategies include the provision of performance-based incentives, periodic training, and formal recognition. A conducive work environment and transformational leadership also contribute significantly to teacher motivation. The application of Maslow's theory is able to improve teacher motivation and performance through a structured approach at each level of need. It is recommended that madrasah increase formal awards and provide more opportunities for professional development. This effort is expected to be able to create teachers who are more motivated, innovative, and contribute to the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of madrasah financing management to improving teacher performance at MTs Persis 40 Sarongge. The background of this study is the importance of financing management as a supporting element in improving the quality of education through optimal teacher performance. This study used a quantitative method with a correlation design. The population consisted of 21 teachers, and data collection was done through questionnaires with descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the average madrasah financing management was in the very good category (80.81), while the average teacher performance reached a score of 76.95. Spearman Rank correlation analysis revealed a very strong relationship between financing management and teacher performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.858. The contribution of financing management to teacher performance reached 74%, with the rest influenced by other factors. The conclusion of this study confirms that effective planning, organizing, and controlling in madrasah financing management can improve the quality of learning through optimal teacher performance. This study recommends transparent and needs-based financial management strategies to support teachers' professional development.

Abstract

This study examines strategic management in fostering educational innovations at MTs Persis 37 Sumedang, focusing on the leadership of the school principal. The research aims to describe the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of strategies for creative and innovative ideas. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews and document analysis. The findings reveal that strategic formulation at MTs Persis 37 involves identifying external opportunities and threats, assessing internal strengths and weaknesses, setting long-term objectives, generating strategic alternatives, and selecting appropriate strategies. The school principal has demonstrated significant capability in fostering creative and innovative ideas, evidenced by achievements such as a third-place finish in the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) at the district level. The implementation of strategic initiatives, including the "Adab-Based Curriculum Module" and literacy programs, reflects a collaborative and participatory approach involving all stakeholders. These initiatives not only enhance academic performance but also cultivate Islamic ethical values among students. Overall, the application of Fred R. David's strategic formulation theory underscores the effectiveness of strategic management in educational settings, emphasizing collaborative leadership and holistic development
