Abstract

This research and design aims to produce an E-Module based on FlipBook Maker Pro for class X TKJ students at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. This study uses research and development methods (Research & Development). The design of this study used the model (ADDIE). By design the development steps are as follows (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation (5) Evaluate. The results of the validity test by the experts as a whole amounted to 86.85%, so that the level of validity can be interpreted as valid to use. The result of the overall practicality test assessment is 82.83%, so that the practicality level can be interpreted as practical to use. The results of the assessment of the overall effectiveness of the test items are 85.57%, so that the level of effectiveness can be interpreted as being effectively used. In conclusion, based on the assessment along with expert input and the results of the field trial, the E-Module based on FlipBook Maker Pro has been tested to be valid, practical and also effective in being used in the learning process on Basic Network Computer subjects for class X TKJ at SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya.

Abstract

Many students still achieved scores below the minimal completeness criteria when learning basic computer networks. This was because the teacher still uses traditional media, such as printed worksheets in the teaching process which made the learning boring and harder for students to comprehend what the teacher was teaching. Therefore, this research aimed to implement video-based learning within the educational process. This study employed a pre-experiment methodology by using a single pre- and post-test group. Thirty-three students majoring in computer and network engineering served as the research subjects. The paired sample t-test and N-gain score were the data analysis methods employed to examine the efficacy of the video-based instruction. The results demonstrated a significant improvement from students' knowledge before to that of after being engaged in video-based learning. Thus, it is possible to conclude that a video-based instruction can greatly enhance students' understanding on fundamental computer network science. According to the study's findings, the video-based learning ought to be incorporated into the curriculum of vocational education, particularly in the Department of Computer Network Engineering, to ensure that the students fully comprehend the subject matter and that the learning process runs smoothly.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the global trends and research contributions related to mobile learning for high school students through a bibliometric approach. The PRISMA method and bibliometric tools (R Studio and biblioshiny) were employed to analyze 70 documents from Scopus and Web of Science databases. Results indicate significant growth in publications, with an annual growth rate of 12.93% from 2008 to 2024, highlighting increasing interest in mobile learning. Indonesia, Taiwan, and China were the most productive countries, with journals such as Computers and Education (IF: 8.5; Q1) being the most influential source. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed key themes, including learning personalization, mobile learning effectiveness, and critical thinking skill development. The results show that mobile learning contributes significantly to improving students' motivation and learning outcomes without adding pressure, especially through the integration of mobile technology with e-learning approaches. This study provides strategic insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers to optimize mobile learning implementation in high school education, while identifying future research opportunities.
