Abstract

A very good business opportunity for students of SMA Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar because the location of the school is very strategic with residential communities. Adjacent to community settlements is a very good opportunity for them. Through community service carried out by the Efarina Siantar University Community Service Team, it helps them and motivates them to develop their entrepreneurial spirit. Students wish to increase their pocket money and create jobs for the local community. After this community service activity, partners need support and assistance regarding legal aspects and aspects of making liquid dish soap.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a collection of symptoms that arise in a person caused by an increase in blood glucose levels due to a progressive decrease in insulin secretion against the background of insulin resistance. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is always increasing every year. This increase is inseparable from the lifestyle that is being lived by the world's population today. This research is descriptive in nature. This study aims to describe the behavior of type II diabetes mellitus patients in preventing complications of diabetes mellitus in the working area of the Trading Health Center in 2021. Sampling in this study using fatal sampling, namely 33 respondents who suffer from type II DM. Of the 33 respondents, 16 respondents (49%) were aged 51-60 years, the majority were female, 21 respondents (64%), the majority had high school education, 13 respondents (40%), and the majority had diabetes for a long time, namely 1-4. years as many as 29 respondents (88%). The results showed that of the 33 respondents who visited the Commercial Health Center in 2021, the majority had good knowledge as many as 22 respondents (67%), the majority had a positive attitude as many as 21 respondents (64%), and the majority had bad behavior as many as 22 respondents (67 % ). It is hoped that the community will further improve behavior regarding diabetes mellitus in order to avoid or prevent complications that can arise from diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Most of human time is for communicating, starting from waking up, working, even to carrying out daily activities, humans cannot be separated from what is called communication. In other words, communication is an inseparable part of human daily life. Communication is a tool for nurses to influence patient behavior and to get success in nursing interventions. This research is descriptive in nature. This study aims to find out how motivated nurses are in implementing therapeutic communication in the General Perdagangan Hospital inpatient room. Sampling in this study using a total sampling of 36 respondents. The results showed that of the 36 respondents in the rose, jasmine and orchid inpatient rooms of the General Perdagangan Hospital it was stated that in therapeutic communication with patients the majority of nurses behaved well by 23 (64%), and the minority behaved badly by 13 (36%). The results of the study showed that of the 36 respondents in the inpatient rooms of roses, jasmine and orchids, the majority of nurses had sufficient ability in therapeutic communication with patients, 24 (67%), and a minority of 4 (11%) had poor ability. It is hoped that health workers will further improve professional therapeutic communication in providing health services to patients.
