Therefore, the implemented strategies involve strengthening the commitment of stakeholders to maintain malaria-free areas, enhancing surveillance systems, strengthening networks, ensuring early diagnosis and appropriate treatment, and empowering communities to prevent new malaria cases. Poltekkes Kemenkes Sorong Prodi Manokwari, as an intellectual community, directly engages with the public to improve knowledge and provide solutions to various health issues through the Tridharma of Higher Education. The issue encountered during the implementation of integrated field practice in March 2023 is that malaria occupies the first position. The nearest accessible facility for the community is the Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas Pembantu). However, people rarely seek treatment there due to limited medication and service facilities. The implementation of malaria management, as a service to the community, for cadres and mothers at the Posyandu Kampung Wasegi Indah, is expected to be carried out effectively. This way, the community will become more aware of maintaining their own health and that of their families, and the role of cadres as an extension of healthcare workers can assist the community. The implementation of malaria management using the guidelines provided to community health workers and families has resulted in an increase in knowledge from 75% to 94%. Furthermore, monitoring has been conducted for 2 weeks, during which no reports have been received from the community health workers and families regarding any family members experiencing malaria symptoms. This indicates the readiness of families to monitor the health of their members and the surrounding community in order to prevent malaria transmission within the family and the local environment. Keywords: Malaria Management, Cadre, Family
