Abstract

Sexual behavior is something that is considered to influence self-esteem behavior, parent-child relationships, sexual thrill-seeking tendencies, the presence of deviant peers and the use of pornographic media. The family development stage begins when the first child turns 13 years old and usually ends 6-7 years later, when the child leaves the parental home. Parenting can be defined as all the ways parents treat their children. The purpose of the study was to find the relationship of family development stages and parenting patterns to sexual behavior. The design of this study was cross sectional with a population of 152 samples of 110 respondents with proportional randam sampling technique. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate. The results of the study with statistical tests showed the value of family development stages p value 0.000 and parenting patterns p value: 0.000 where both are smaller than alpha (p <0.05). The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the stage of family development and parenting on sexual behavior. The recommendation of the results of this study is that respondents get good fulfillment of adolescent age developmental tasks and friendly parenting so that they can control sexual behavior in themselves and know the dangers of risky sexual behavior. Keywords: Family Development, Parenting, Sexual Behavior

Abstract

Abstract: The choice of modern contraceptive methods in Central Java province in 2023, the majority chose the injection method 37.9% and other methods such as implants 9.7%, pills 3.4%, male condoms 2.9% and those who did not use birth control amounted to 28.6%. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of age and parity on the use of contraceptives. The study used quantitative research with case control design. The research was conducted at Pringapus Health Center. The research was conducted in November 2023. The study population was all married mothers in the working area of Pringapus Health Center. The sample amounted to 70 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed there was a relationship between parity (p value: 0.035) to the selection of contraceptive methods. It is suggested that respondents can consider using contraceptive implants because this contraceptive has advantages such as effectively preventing pregnancy between three years, is not permanent and does not need to be consumed every day or used before sexual intercourse. Keywords: Contraception, Parity, Health Center.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Childbirth Planning and Complication Prevention (P4K) program in reducing birth complications among postpartum women at 24 primary healthcare centers in Ambon City. A cross-sectional design was used with 200 respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using logistic regression. The findings revealed that most respondents had good access to ANC services (78.5%), planned their childbirth (78.1%), and were assisted by health professionals during delivery (78.5%). Complications occurred in 23.5% of cases. Significant correlations were found between complications and standardized ANC (p=0.031), childbirth planning (p=0.035), and skilled birth attendance (p=0.000), while sociodemographic factors showed no significant associations. Notably, mothers without standardized ANC or delivery planning had a 21 times higher risk of complications. Those not assisted by professionals had a 69 times higher risk. The study concludes that the P4K program is crucial in minimizing childbirth risks, emphasizing the importance of ANC, birth planning, and skilled attendance.
