Abstract

The objectives of this research are to determine: 1) the direct relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance; 2) the direct relationship between authentic leadership style and teacher performance; 3) the relationship between organizational culture, through achievement motivation, and teacher performance; 4) the relationship between authentic leadership style, through achievement motivation, and teacher performance; 5) the relationship between achievement motivation and teacher performance. This research uses descriptive analysis with quantitative analysis and data analysis through path analysis. The study will be conducted at junior high schools in Central Aceh Regency, including SMPN 4 Takengon, SMP IT Cendikia Takengon, and SMP IT Al-Azhar. Data collection in this study uses questionnaires, with data analyzed through Pearson's product-moment correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the direct relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance is 0.539 (53.9%), classified as moderate. The direct relationship between the school principal's authentic leadership and teacher performance is 0.403 (40.3%), also moderate. The moderator variable (achievement motivation) strengthens the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance by 0.578 (57.8%), classified as moderate. Similarly, achievement motivation strengthens the relationship between the school principal's authentic leadership and teacher performance by 0.578 (57.8%), also moderate. Finally, the direct relationship between achievement motivation and teacher performance is 0.514 (51.4%), which is moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to explore: 1) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Mother" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 2) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Seductress" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 3) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Pet" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 4) The effectiveness of female leadership as an "Iron Maiden" in enhancing a collaborative school culture. This research uses a Mixed Method Research approach. The qualitative research is based on the philosophy of post-positivism or interpretative methods. The population consists of 161 teachers in secondary schools in Central Aceh Regency, while the sample includes 115 teachers. Quantitative data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The study took place in secondary schools in Central Aceh Regency over eight months, from October 2023 to May 2024. The results show that the four characteristics of female leadership; (1) nurturing and protective, (2) friendly and communicative, (3) gentle and affectionate, and (4) firm and independent are effective in creating and enhancing a collaborative school culture. Leadership styles that are firm and independent have the most significant impact (63.8%) compared to the other three styles: nurturing and protective (50.5%), gentle and affectionate (49.4%), and friendly and communicative (47.9%). It is recommended that the Central Aceh Regency Education Office provides equal opportunities for female teachers to become school principals, especially considering the relatively low involvement of female teachers in educational leadership in the region.

Abstract

This study was conducted as a way to describe the role of the madrasah committee in the management process at the State Junior High School (MTsN) Ngkeran, Southeast Aceh, especially regarding its role as an assessor, an acceptor, a control and a mediator. This study uses qualitative with a descriptive approach. While data collection uses interviews, observations and documentation. This data analysis technique uses data collection, data reduction, data analysis, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the Madrasah Committee has an important role in the management process of the madrasah, especially in managing facilities and infrastructure, finance, infrastructure, curriculum, personnel, and public relations of the residents of Darul Amin Village, Lawe Alas District, Southeast Aceh Regency in general. The role of the Madrasah Committee in the process of controlling infrastructure at MTsN Ngkeran, Southeast Aceh, was made by the madrasah, the Madrasah Committee provides suggestions if there are things that need to be conveyed. And the Committee participates in implementing the program for the process of controlling infrastructure in the madrasah and the work, if the Committee is invited by the Head of the Madrasah himself.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic management of boarding school-based education in improving the quality of education at junior high schools in Central Aceh Regency. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects include school principals, teachers, and school committees at junior high schools implementing the boarding school system in Central Aceh Regency. The findings reveal that during the planning stage, schools involved various stakeholders, including committees and the community, and utilized SWOT analysis to design strategic programs tailored to the schools' needs. In the implementation stage, the integration of academic and character-building programs, such as Quran memorization, Arabic language learning, and extracurricular activities, effectively enhanced students' holistic competencies. Meanwhile, in the evaluation stage, principal-led supervision emphasizing transparency and accountability positively impacted teacher performance and the quality of educational programs. The study concludes that boarding school-based strategic management can improve education quality by integrating religious and locally relevant approaches suited to the community context. This model can be adopted by other schools to sustainably enhance educational quality.
