Abstract

In the context of classroom learning, particularly at the elementary school level, various methods are employed. This study aims to achieve three key research objectives: (1) to establish the reliability of Chapin learning media, (2) to ensure its effective implementation, and (3) to assess its overall efficacy. The research methodology utilized the Research and Development (R&D) approach, following the Addie development model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study's population consisted of 12 students from Class II at SDN Tiron III and 23 students from Class II at SDN Tiron IV. Data collection involved the use of validation questionnaires for media, content, and learning specialists, supplemented by both small- and large-scale experiments. Data analysis encompassed validity testing, practicality assessment through teacher response questionnaires (involving 2 teachers and 35 students), and effectiveness evaluation based on students' learning outcomes, analyzed using the N-Gain Score. The results of this study indicate that the smart card learning media achieved a high level of validity, with percentages of 90%, 84%, and 84% for content, media, and overall validity, respectively. Furthermore, the practicality assessment revealed that students' responses averaged 88%, while expert teacher responses averaged 84%. The N-Gain score, with values of 0.77 for the wider class scale and 0.79 for the limited class scale, both fall into the high category, demonstrating the efficacy of the learning media.

Abstract

Basic literacy is an important foundation in education in Indonesia, but there are still challenges in literacy skills for students and teachers. Local wisdom, which should be a relevant source of learning, is often ignored in the curriculum. This study aims to describe: (1) the need to develop the KAPAL PINISI application (Smart Literacy Adventure Activities); (2) obstacles encountered in developing the application; (3) support for the development of applications based on local wisdom, with a focus on the formation of 6C skills (Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship, Character) in Indonesian society. The data collection method used a need assessment questionnaire distributed to students, teachers, and parents in several regions. This study used a mixed method approach (qualitative and quantitative) with 200 fifth grade students and 40 teachers in ten elementary schools spread across Indonesia. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics on quantitative data and source triangulation techniques (Miles and Huberman) on qualitative data. The results of the analysis show that respondents want an application that integrates local wisdom, as well as interactive features that support collaborative and communicative learning. The obstacles faced by teachers are; never having used teaching materials based on local wisdom that are integrated into the android application. The support for the development of the KAPAL PINISI application is that the principal provides training facilities and workshops based on local wisdom to teachers, and helps teachers be creative in making teaching media. The development of the KAPAL PINISI Application based on local wisdom is an important and effective step. So that the results of the study can be used as a reference for further research in the form of developing teaching media for the KAPAL PINISI Application based on local wisdom in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, keefektifan multimedia interaktif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menggali pengetahuan baru yang terdapat pada teks nonfiksi siswa kelas IV SDN Mojoroto 4 Tema 7 Indahnya Keberagaman Negeriku. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementatian, Evaluation). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 2 orang ahli, 2 orang guru kelas IV, dan 40 orang siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan tes objektif tipe pilihan ganda untuk hasil belajar. Data hasil belajar dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji kevalidan berupa angket validasi yang meliputi validasi media, validasi materi dan validasi RPP, pengujian keefektifan menggunakan hasil rata-rata pre-test dan post-test dengan menggunakan uji-T dan uji kepraktisan dengan menggunakan angket respon guru dan angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh data kevalidan produk dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil kepraktisan dengan kriteria sangat praktis.
