Abstract

Muhammad Al-Fatih (1432-1481) is one of prominent Islamic figures who is famous for his phenomenal bravery in conquering Constantinople in 1453 AD. The history of the conquest could be read in various Islamic history books. The epic story is even filmed through the movie of Battle of Empires Fetih 1453. The movie undoubtedly brings positive vibes for its Islamic educational values. Thus, this article is aimed at exploring of any possible Islamic educational values attached in the movie. The exploration is conducted through qualitative method of content analysis approach. The data was collected was one of movie scene of Battle of Empires Fetih 1453. All data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique with the stages of collecting, reducing and analyzing data and drawing conclusions. It is finally found that there are fourten Islamic educational values in the movie; six Islamic educational values related to Aqidah, three values related to worshipping (Ibadah) aspects and five values related to Akhlak. This findings is expected to give any ideas of new Islamic learning resources; movies. Besides, it is also ecouraged that the values in the movie could be another inspiration for the forthcoming Islamic generation as a young Islamic generation

Abstract

Teaching skills are an aspect that must be owned by a teacher to achieve success in learning, therefore teachers must have a high ability in learning. In fact, this study aims to describe the teaching skills of Islamic religious education teachers in improving student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. In addition, to describe the actions of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This study uses a qualitative method with an approach case study, Research data were taken from thirty-six informants, consisting of school principals, teachers, and students by means of individual and group interviews. To strengthen the interview data the author also made direct observations of teachers and students. All interview and observation data were analyzed using Analysis Interactive the Milles & Hubberman model. The results of this study found eight teacher activities in teaching. The teaching skills of Islamic Religious Education teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah include i) opening lesson skills, ii) closing lesson skills, iii) explaining skills, iv) questioning skills, v) reinforcement skills, vi) variation skills, vii) small group discussion guiding skills, and viii) class management skills. This research has succeeded in uncovering eight teacher skills in teaching so as to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the interplay of Islamic ideology, violence, and political strategies in contemporary Afghanistan, examining domestic and foreign influences. This study applies library resources to explore the delicate relationships between Afghan Islamic philosophy, politics, and warfare by utilizing a thematic analysis framework. By closely analyzing the historical development of Islamic philosophy, politics, and violence in Afghanistan, as well as the impact of foreign stakeholders, the study aims to offer a thorough understanding of this interconnected web of complexities. Employing thematic analysis to dissect Islamic thoughts in Afghanistan, stressing the diversity of viewpoints and the vital role of external stakeholders. This research will shed light on the complex interplay of terrorism relationships among terrorism, politics, and conflict resolution, highlighting the dire need for Wasatiyya (moderation). By bridging historical viewpoints with contemporary ground realities, the study will offer an understanding of Afghanistan’s socio-economic and political complexities. This article significantly contributes to the academic discourse and directs future research into the complex political realities within the region.
