Abstract

The concept of the time value of money, as recognized by conventional economics, posits that money available at the present time is worth more than the same amount in the future due to its potential earning capacity. This idea underlies the existence of interest rates and the fluctuating values of goods and services. The purpose of this study is to examine the perspectives of Al-Nabhani and Zallum on money and Islamic economics in relation to the time value of money. This research employs a qualitative method with a content analysis approach to the texts of Nizhâm Al-Iqtishâdy written by Taqiyuddin Al-Nabhani and Al-Amwâl authored by Abd Al-Qadim Zallum. The findings reveal distinctive viewpoints from these scholars: in Islam, money is defined as gold and silver with specific weights, and such currencies maintain stable values. Money is used as a standard measure for goods and services, serves as a medium of exchange, and the concept of the time value of money is rejected in Islamic law because it involves riba (interest), which is prohibited. Furthermore, hoarding money (kanz al-mâl) is forbidden, as is accumulating money to earn interest. Gold and silver can be lent (qardh) provided the transaction is immediate and in person. The time value of money concept does not exist in Islam because Islamic finance is based on gold and silver, which are stable, and this approach can offer solutions to global financial issues such as inflation. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh fenomena budaya K-pop terhadap perilaku remaja Muslim di Indonesia dalam perspektif pendidikan karakter Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dinamika euforia K-pop, mengidentifikasi dampaknya terhadap perkembangan moral dan spiritual remaja, serta menawarkan strategi pendidikan yang relevan untuk mengantisipasi dampak negatif tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka terhadap buku Pernah Tenggelam karya Fuadh Naim (2019) dan wawancara mendalam dengan dua pendidik di Sekolah Tahfizh Plus TMA Khoiru Ummah Bogor. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan tematik untuk mengungkap pola perilaku, pembentukan identitas, dan ketahanan nilai keagamaan remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterikatan berlebihan terhadap K-pop memicu perilaku seperti pengidolaan yang tidak rasional, konsumerisme, kelalaian terhadap kewajiban agama, dan pergeseran identitas budaya. Tiga bentuk penyimpangan utama yang teridentifikasi adalah normalisasi pergaulan bebas, kampanye terselubung LGBT, serta pengultusan terhadap idol yang dapat mengarah pada penyimpangan akidah. Namun demikian, pendidikan karakter Islam mampu memberikan solusi transformatif melalui refleksi diri, penyucian jiwa, dan kesadaran media yang kritis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai Islam melalui penguatan aspek intelektual, moral, dan spiritual sangat penting dalam membentuk identitas remaja Muslim di tengah gempuran budaya populer global.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a solution for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow and overcome operational and financial problems. Using a qualitative method and a historical approach to the leadership of Sultan Al-Fatih on the performance of maslahah, this study reveals the application of 8 (eight) MaP steps for SMEs, namely: formulating strategic planning, identifying the foundation of maslahah; determining maslahah behavior; determining size; agreeing on performance contracts; implementing performance; monitoring; and following up. The findings of this study show that the application of the MaP steps can help SMEs to grow and overcome operational and financial problems. The MaP steps provide a clear and structured framework for SMEs to develop and implement their strategies. The MaP steps also emphasize the importance of maslahah, which is a concept that is relevant to both Islamic and Western business ethics. The implications of this study are that the MaP steps can be used by SMEs to improve their performance and achieve their goals. The MaP steps can also be used by policymakers to develop support programs for SMEs.
