Abstract

The development of city facilities and infrastructure is one of the indicators that can be seen to find out how the development of a city area is. The city of Tegal is one of the cities that is currently making improvements in its urban areas, namely by repairing and arranging public spaces in the city of Tegal. One of the results of the improvement and arrangement of public spaces in the City of Tegal is the arrangement of the corridor for Jalan Ahmad Yani, City of Tegal. Ahmad Yani Street in Tegal City is a secondary local road with the status of a city road in the center of Tegal City. Arrangements made on Jalan Ahmad Yani are such as implementing a one-way system for vehicles, providing parking pockets and making improvements to the pedestrian path area. This research will discuss how changes in the physical setting that occurred on Jalan Ahmad Yani after repairs and rearrangements have been carried out so that they affect the formation of a new character and identity of the street space. In addition, this research will also discuss the impact on the community and the environment around Jalan Ahmad Yani from changes in the physical setting. This study uses a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis which aims to explain what phenomena occur in the field and examine based on existing theory. The results of this study are expected to be able to explain how the physical setting of a street space can influence and create character for that street space.

Abstract

The development of an area cannot be separated from the existence of public space, Public Space such as Simpang Lima is one of the important aspects in city development so that it can be utilized by the community, public space must be usable by all levels of society, including elderly users. Currently, the city of Semarang has experienced an increase in the number of elderly people since 2017 and continues to increase, special attention to elderly users is important so that this increase does not become a new problem in urban areas. One of the government's efforts to pay attention to the elderly is by creating public spaces. Public spaces in the city of Semarang, such as Simpang Lima, are still popular with the elderly. Many elderly people are found in the morning with sports activities, but according to the elderly, the facilities at Simpang Lima have not been able to meet their needs. So that it raises several problems in the field, these problems are the basis of the study, namely What is the accessibility of the elderly in the Simpang Lima public space? What are the obstacles to accessibility for the elderly in using public space facilities at Simpang Lima? The research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting observations, interviews, and literature reviews after which it is analyzed using accessibility requirements. The activities of the elderly in reaching and using public spaces are in accordance with the accessibility that has been provided, this is based on convenience and safety. Accessibility barriers experienced by the elderly at Simpang Lima are the lack of supporting accessibility facilities such as comfortable seating, information boards and directions, and toilets complete with facilities for the elderly.

Abstract

Kota Tegal merupakan kota dengan masyarakat yang memiliki antusias olahraga yang cukup tinggi. Untuk mengakomodir masyarakat dalam mengakases sarana dan prasarana olahraga serta meningkatkan kualitas kegiatan olahraga yang diadakan di Kota Tegal, Pemerintah Kota Tegal berencana membangun Sport Center yang dapat mengintegrasikan beberapa cabang olahraga baik olahraga indoor maupun olahraga outdoor. Sport center ini mengacu pada pendekatan desain inklusif, dimana sport center ini dapat digunakan oleh semua kalangan baik kalangan normal maupun kalangan berkebutuhan khusus. Perancangan Sport Center ini bertujuan agar masyarakat difabel memiliki hak yang sama dengan masyarakat non difabel untuk berolahraga dan mengembangkan bakat olahraganya. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan studi lapangan untuk mendapatkan data spesifik lokasi. Hasil rancangan Sport Center di Kota Tegal yaitu menitik beratkan pada penerapan prinsip desain inklusi pada bangunan, antara lain kesetaraan dalam penggunaan, fleksibilitas pengguna, penggunaan yang sederhana dan intuitif, informasi yang jelas, toleransi terhadap kesalahan, upaya fisik yang rendah serta ukuran dan ruang untuk pencapaian dan penggunaan untuk mewujudkan sebuah bangunan yang inklusif yang dapat digunakan oleh semua kalangan baik difabel maupun non difabel.

Abstract

Penggaron Terminal in Semarang City, as one of the main terminals, faces problems related to the use of space that is not optimal. Many users prefer to do activities around the red light at the terminal entrance rather than inside the terminal itself, which causes vehicle congestion and illegal bus parking. This study aims to optimize the use of the terminal and overcome the problem of illegal parking by using the Person Centered Maps, Place Centered Maps, and Physical Trace methods. These methods are used to map user movement patterns, identify space usage, and analyze physical traces left at the terminal. The results of the study indicate that users gather more often outside the terminal, and there is irregularity in the management of space and parking that affects the smoothness of traffic. Based on this analysis, it is recommended to rearrange the parking area, improve facilities inside the terminal, and install clear signs to optimize the function of the terminal. The implementation of this solution is expected to improve the safety, comfort, and efficiency of terminal use, as well as support the smooth flow of traffic around the Terminal area.
