Abstract

Becoming a Christian means being ready to become a servant of God and participate in completing the Great Commission of Jesus written in the Book of Matthew 28:19. There are many services that a person can take if they want to serve in the church, they can become a pastor who is in charge of giving sermons, become a deacon or elder who is in charge of taking care of the needs of the congregation, become an intercessor, become a Worship Leader or song guide, can also serve in Sunday school and other fields. However, the question that arises is if someone becomes a servant but does not grow in their service, then there is definitely something wrong so that their service seems stagnant or just like that. A person must grow and be fruitful in his ministry so that he can be a blessing to many people. A servant must get out of the stagnation of his service if the place where he serves no longer supports him. Using descriptive qualitative methods with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that. Being a servant who is only lukewarm, neither hot nor cold (Revelation 3:16) will not be used by God as His instrument. Servants who do not grow are of course caused by many things, such as having leaders who are not supportive, having the wrong motivation, serving in the wrong place and so on. A church minister must know when it is time to leave a ministry if it feels it is not growing and bearing fruit.

Abstract

One form of offering that is routinely held in a church is a tithe offering. Tithing offerings are held by the church with many purposes, one of which is the provision of funds for the work and activities carried out by a church. In a church, of course, there are many activities that must be carried out, in addition to routine worship on Sundays, the church also carries out other activities such as mid-week worship activities, mission activities, visitation activities to the congregation, diakonia offerings and others. The activities carried out by the church certainly require large funds to finance these needs, because not to mention the cost of paying the pastor's salary, the salary of the musician, the church building management and the salary of the full timer staff of the church. Seeing the many costs that must be incurred, if you expect from the offerings at Sunday worship alone, it is certainly not enough. That is why, many churches rely heavily on tithing offerings to cover their costs. But besides that, many churches also hold tithes but the funds are used for the needs of the pastor or pastor of the church.  So it is a natural thing, in a large church it can be easily seen the amount of prosperity obtained by the church leader, such as expensive cars, branded clothes and accessories, traveling abroad with his family and others. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, it can be concluded that emphasizing tithing must be based on biblical studies, although many parties also say that tithing offerings are inherited from the Old Testament, so they are no longer valid in the New Testament era. This study was written to examine whether this statement is true and also whether tithing is still relevant in this modern era.

Abstract

The massive corruption that occurs in this nation also extends to the church as a spiritual institution. Corruption is a big problem for society, which causes people to suffer and, of course, disrupts the country's economy. Corruption is also an act of violation of human rights and is now a social pathology that is dangerous for human life. This research aims to provide an understanding of how the role of Christianity can reduce corrupt behaviour by forming an anti-corruption character. Yeng is certainly very useful for Christianity in building a country free from corruption. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results of this research state that corruption is a crime that must be fought. Corruption contains untruths that are not in line with the teachings of the Bible. Therefore, the church must guide the congregation with an anti-corruption character within a biblical framework.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way people live. As a community of faith, the church faces the challenge of remaining relevant in reaching the digital generation that lives in a virtual culture. However, traditional evangelism approaches, which still dominate, often fail to adapt to the rapid changes of the times. The phenomenon of increasing digital activity among the younger generation, while the church lags behind in the use of digital media for evangelism, highlights a gap between ministry strategies and real-world needs. This study aims to examine how the integration of evangelistic theology and digital mission can be strategically applied in contemporary church leadership. Using qualitative methods, it can be concluded that the essence of evangelism theology is deeply rooted in biblical foundations, which serve as the primary basis for designing contextual mission strategies in the digital age. The concepts and practices of digital mission represent an actual expansion of the Great Commission, now carried out through media and virtual spaces. Church leadership in the technological era is required to be adaptive, innovative, and theological in order to guide the congregation in mission service. Therefore, the integration of evangelical theology and digital mission has become an urgent need, not only to address the challenges of the times but also to shape a strategic pattern of digital evangelical leadership for the future of the church. This approach will encourage the church to remain faithful to the Gospel call while being responsive to the changes of the times.
