Abstract

Abstract

Freedom of learning issued by the government has not fully paid attention to the 3T (Foremost, Outermost and Disadvantaged) regions. The 3T area needs professional teachers who have the ability and understand the main tasks and functions as teachers and can make innovations so that the learning process at school is fun for students. Clinical supervision needs to be carried out by school principals in order to help teachers overcome problems faced by teachers in learning, especially in the 3T areas. In this study, a qualitative approach research method was used with data collection techniques in the form of case studies from research journals, books and related articles. The results of the analysis show that the successful implementation of clinical supervision is characterized by an increase in the teacher's ability to plan, implement, and evaluate the learning process, the quality of learning carried out by the teacher becomes better. The main problem of the clinical supervision process in the 3T area is difficult access resulting in the supervision process not going well. In addition, there are other factors that influence teacher competency improvement, namely individual factors and organizational environmental factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills with the application of webbed type integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. The type of research is PTK carried out two cycles referring to the spiral model of C. Kemmis and MC. Taggart. The subject was 28 students of SDN 11 Pudung, Ampek Nagari District, Agam Regency. The instruments used are interviews, observations and tests of learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning. The observation results showed that students in cycle II were more active in group activities than in cycle I. Based on the results of the HOTS test, there was also an increase in student learning outcomes in cycle I with an average of 69,82 and a percentage of KKM 57% which increased in cycle II with an average of 84,82 then the percentage is 82%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low levels of learning activities and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among students in science education. The study aims to determine the impact of the RADEC learning model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) on the learning activities and HOTS of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research design used is experimental research with a Quasi-Experimental design that employs a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study's population comprises fourth-grade elementary school students, with class IVA selected as the experimental group and class IVB as the control group at SDN 09 Simpang Tigo, using simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study include questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires assess student learning activities, while tests evaluate students' HOTS. The study results revealed: (1) The Sig value (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05. Consequently, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, indicating that the RADEC learning model influences student learning activities in social studies in fourth-grade elementary schools. (2) The Sig value (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, demonstrating that the RADEC learning model has an impact on students' HOTS in science education in fourth-grade elementary schools. In conclusion, the study findings suggest that the RADEC learning model significantly influences students' learning activities and high-order thinking skills in science education in fourth-grade elementary schools.
