Abstract

Malnutrition is the cause of maternal and child death. One population that is very vulnerable to nutritional problems is pregnant women. This research method is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design (Quasi Experimental) with a one group pretest and posttest design. The samples taken in this study were all 30 pregnant women in the second trimester who had their wombs checked at the Bugis Village Community Health Center. The results of the pre-test knowledge analysis between the control group and the intervention group showed a p-value of 0.867 (p<0.05), which means that there was no significant difference in the pre-test knowledge score between the control group and the intervention group. The results of the posttest analysis of knowledge between the control group and the intervention group showed a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). However, from the research results it was found that there were significant differences in attitudes and behavior between pregnant women who were given intervention using the E-FOCY application and those who were only given counseling from the KIA book. There was a significant increase in knowledge from the pre and post test results (p-value 0.000). However, in the intervention group the increase was higher than in the control group.

Abstract

This study focuses on the high prevalence of stunting in Tanjungpinang City, reaching 15.7% based on the 2022 SSGI data. The low rate of exclusive breastfeeding, at only 58%, significantly contributes to this issue. The objective of this community service project is to enhance the knowledge and skills of breastfeeding mothers through educational media in the form of flashcards called SMART ASIK. The research method includes providing education and training to breastfeeding mothers and posyandu cadres about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and the technique of oxytocin massage. Results indicate an increase in mothers' knowledge to 90%, with exclusive breastfeeding practices rising to 75%. Cadres' skills also improved by 85%. The discussion highlights the necessity of ongoing support from posyandu cadres and community involvement in the educational process. The conclusion of this study is that the SMART ASIK program is effective in improving the knowledge and skills of breastfeeding mothers, which in turn can reduce the prevalence of stunting in the area. Future plans include regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure the sustainability of the program

The purpose of community service is to increase the knowledge of mothers of babies 0-24 months about MP-ASI T3 (Right Composition, Right Way of Delivery, Right Time and Dosage of Feeding) and the technicalities of its manufacture. The target partners are all mothers of babies aged 0-24 months in the Batu IX Posyandu Teratai Village area with a total of 25 people. The implementation method in this community service activity is the provision of counseling and education to improve mothers' skills on stunting prevention efforts through the practice of making appropriate MP-ASI.
