Abstract

The development of technology, communication, and information continues to increase in line with the inevitable flow of globalization. Globalization has a great impact on various aspects, especially education, where educators are required to be creative, master a wide range of skills and knowledge. This study uses a qualitative method with literature studies to examine various relevant literature in answering social studies learning problems in the era of globalization and cultural diversity. The main source of data is articles published in various scientific journals and indexed in the database on Google Scholar. The research stages consist of collecting literature, reading carefully, coding data, classifying data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that in education, globalization has a great impact with technological advances that support this field, demanding that educators master diverse knowledge and skills. Although social studies are often underestimated, globalization brings positive and negative influences. The positive is the acceleration of the development of science, technology, and information, while the negative is the emergence of consumptive behavior. Social studies learning plays a role in developing people's social skills in the midst of globalization, equipping students with knowledge related to global issues around them

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan TikTok terhadap kesadaran multikultural mahasiswa PPKn Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) Stambuk 2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penyebaran angket kepada 38 responden melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan TikTok berada pada kategori tinggi (mean = 3,89), terutama dalam aspek paparan konten budaya global dan fungsi edukatifnya. TikTok berperan dalam memperluas wawasan budaya, menumbuhkan sikap toleran, serta membentuk karakter mahasiswa sebagai warga dunia yang terbuka. Namun, partisipasi dalam diskusi digital masih tergolong sedang. Diperlukan peningkatan literasi digital agar kesadaran multikultural semakin berkembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertimbangan hukum majelis hakim dalam perkara pidana pencurian dengan pemberatan dengan Nomor 1175/Pid.B/2025/PN Mdn di Pengadilan Negeri Medan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan yuridis normatif dengan studi kasus berdasarkan hasil pengamatan langsung terhadap jalannya persidangan pada 16 September 2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa putusan hakim didasarkan pada terpenuhinya unsur-unsur Pasal 363 KUHP tentang pencurian dengan pemberatan. Majelis hakim mempertimbangkan aspek yuridis dan non-yuridis, termasuk faktor memberatkan seperti keresahan masyarakat dan faktor meringankan berupa penyesalan terdakwa. Putusan berupa pidana penjara 2 tahun 6 bulan dinilai telah mencerminkan keseimbangan antara asas keadilan, kemanfaatan, dan kepastian hukum. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran nyata tentang penerapan asas peradilan pidana yang cepat, sederhana, dan berbiaya ringan di Indonesia.
