Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PkM) aims to contribute by providing assistance and support for the city-level drum band competition in Salatiga at State Elementary School 03 Mangunsari. The PkM activity is carried out in two stages: the drum band training preparation phase and the drum band competition support phase. The drum band training preparation took place from September 4 to September 18, 2023, at the school, while the drum band competition support phase was conducted on September 23, 2023, at Kridanggo Stadium Salatiga. In the first phase, the author, together with the coach and teachers, assisted the training sessions for the competition participants in musical performance and dance movement formations. The authors also contributed to creating attributes and drum band equipment such as fans, flags, and others. In the second phase, the authors, along with the committee, organized the makeup and costumes for the competition participants, found a suitable area for the drum band participants around the stadium, provided refreshments, and actively accompanied the participants during the street parade. The activity was concluded with documentation to capture the success of the event. The authors suggest that the development of this activity can involve a broader scope, not limited to mere assistance but also incorporating drum band training. This step is taken considering that the authors have acquired previous knowledge and skills that can be applied to provide more structured and sustainable training.

Abstract

Desa Getasan, with its diverse cultural heritage and geographic potential, has strategic opportunities to develop a creative economy based on local cultural wealth. However, this potential has not been fully utilized due to the low interest of younger generations in preserving local arts and the limitations in cultural organization management and governance. This situation forms the basis for this community service project. The aim of this initiative is to preserve local arts and support the development of local wisdom through a cultural and entrepreneurial approach in Desa Getasan. The research is conducted from July to October 2024 in four stages: (1) planning stage, (2) program implementation stage, (3) product development stage, and (4) program evaluation stage. The outcomes from the training and mentoring of youth art performers include the development of an E-Cultural Catalog website, an organizational management handbook, a Culturalpreneurship Business Plan book, and a village art expo video, which have had a positive impact on the partners in terms of increased knowledge and skills. Abstract

Aplikasi berbasis Android dapat menjadi media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dan efektivitas media pembelajaran perubahan bumi berbasis android dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di gugus Kecamatan Sidomukti, yakni SD Negeri Mangunsari 03, SD Negeri Kalicacing 02, dan SD Negeri Dukuh 01, dengan total 62 siswa kelas lima. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ASSURE. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, rubrik penilaian uji validitas, rubrik penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kuesioner tanggapan siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kategoris dan persentase, serta uji T menggunakan uji-t sampel berpasangan dengan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini valid dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Validasi ahli media mendapat skor 92%, validasi ahli material 86%, dan validasi ahli desain 95,4%, semuanya dalam kategori yang sangat tinggi. Efektivitas pembelajaran IPAS dinilai sangat efektif berdasarkan respon siswa dengan skor persentase 87,7% dan guru dengan skor persentase 93,3%. Uji t sampel berpasangan menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang membuktikan bahwa media ini secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.
